Have watched every enneagram videos you uploaded here. Richard's way of describing is refreshing, even though he "mocked" every type here. So far, type 6 is the least, he shown his worries here. If you have rest of the type videos or more, please upload. Lovin' it.

Listening to both the 4 and the 6, which are my highest scores, I think I relate more to the four, though not fully. Is there any common relations between 4's and 6's?

4's tend to be moody, artistic, prone to melancholy or aesthetic transport. 6's tend to try to fit in better, and seek security rather than starve for at, not liking to stand out or make waves that much, unless they feel really secure and someone is trying to lord it over them. It's the difference between Edward Scissorhands and your local bank clerk or corporate vice-president.

From my point of view (I'm a 6) they actually have a lot in common, with a couple of people I don't know yet if they're a 4 or a 6 so I'm interest in learning to differentiate them more easily too. They both are in the REACTIVE group (4, 6 & 8). They want others to know when they don't feel good, they are both pretty emotional, and if they don't solve the problem resentment tends to grow. They also tend to have a complicated dynamic because they want to be independence but still have people that help them or take care of them... and also trust and distrust people. The 4 looks more for someone that understands him and sees him, and the 6 someone he can trust. I guess one of the biggest differences is that the 4 really wants to be, look, act different than the rest, and 6 tend to blend in, because they're more scared of being judged in that sense? both can be very creative but I guess 4 do it more to express their deep feelings and more for themselves and 6 more 'cos it's fun to create, they like to put out there into the world their ideas, so also for others to see or even use? So these are my first thoughts to it.

    How can I tell if I'm a 6w5 or a 9w1? (I'm INTP, which is odd because they're usually 5's.)

youre more likely a 9w1 if you are an INTP. Sixes are mostly Feeling types (needing social support/security)... they dont trust their mind/thinking. google "mbti Enneagram correlation" and go to the "images" tab... there are a few good charts there. Enjoy.

Do you have a social leadership peacemaking/teaching/humanitarian role and tend to avoid arguments at all costs (9) even as you like to teach and help people become perfect (1)? (9w1) Or are you more a regular worker with a boss (6) in an intelligent number-crunching or analytical kind of role (5) who gets tired of stupid overbearing insecure bosses and co-workers (6) but who needs on the job security so you stick with it (6) while keeping your mental distance (5)? (6w5) In my opinion, INTP can be either one. 1 and 5 tend to be introverted, or appear so, always focused analytically. While 6 and 9 tend to be more extroverted, other- or team-oriented. 5 very much tends toward INTP. A 5 wing could do it. Looking at your playlist, I tend to think you are more likely to be 6w5 -- with the anti-establishment sense of humor and more lively interest in social-cultural rebel vs. authority dichotomies (6) matched by independently intelligent discernment (5). 6's can be funnier than 9's, and 1 wings tend to get kind of preachy -- which you don't quite seem to be, except possibly lecturing against close-minded stupidity, which 5's do more than 1's. (Although Abraham Lincoln was an exception, being an open-minded and witty 9 with 1 wing.) Nonetheless 9's generally don't make a habit of questioning authority. What do you think, Jennifer? (To speak INTP language.)

I would say one of the biggest differences is that the 6 tends to see all the possible dangers and things that could go wrong, they have like a natural scan or radar for that and the 9 really wants to feel ok, so doesn't really worry about that, I mean they can also foresee things and be prepared, but they don't get as anxious about it, and when they worry they try to minimize things rather to dramatize like the 6. 6 also tend to be more insecure and skeptic, 9 more trusting and easygoing. Both say "I don't care" or "what ever you want" a lot, but the 9 really means it and actually doesn't care, and the 6 says it because it can be hard to decide/choose or just to please the friend, but might resent it later or would have preferred something else. 9 have a very positive vision about almost everything and 6 can be both very optimistic about some things and very pessimistic about others.
