Riding the metro from Sunderland to Central Station (Newcastle).

Central Station is an underground station on the Tyne and Wear Metro, serving the southern part of Newcastle City Centre. The Metro station was opened in November 1981, and refurbished in 2015-2016.
The station is located below Newcastle Central station, from which the Metro station gets its name. It is the third-busiest on the network after Monument and Haymarket.[1] The station has entrances from inside the National Rail station, and entrances from the street.
The Metro station opened in 1981, as part of the third phase of the Metro system, which included the main underground sections through the centres of Newcastle and Gateshead.
Metro serves as a replacement for some routes that had formerly been operated from the mainline station towards Benton & Tynemouth via the North Tyneside Loop. In 1984, Metro reached South Shields, replacing British Rail services. In 2002, Metro was extended to Sunderland and South Hylton, where it shares tracks between Pelaw and Sunderland with Northern services on the Durham Coast Line.

I saw this metro at Newcastle Central
I was on a metro train a few years ago from Newcastle airport. I remember the seat at the front and having a drivers eye view. Do these trains still have a front seat?

Yeah, but they've stopped people sitting at the front while this pandemic's been on. Hopefully, they'll let us sit there again soon

How disappointed was I, Newcastle for first time in years, go on metro, metro comes in, empty front seat. Yessssss. Bugger, blocked off. How disappointing. Grrrrrrrr.........

Either edit this video at 31:00 or remove it altogether. My 8 year old son is fascinated with this video but keeps looping at this point in the video and Don’t want him learning this kind of language.

Mate, I edited out the swearing. I forgot I swore and didn't check the footage before I uploaded it. I wanna keep my viewers happy. If kids watch my videos, I wanna keep it family friendly.
