Tyler Braden - Secret (Official Music Video)

Tyler Braden - Secret (Official Music Video)
Written By Tyler Braden
If ever there was a country artist ready to set the world on fire, it would have to be Tyler Braden. He has the gritty powerhouse vocal, the expressive pen and the ability to deliver a lyric with complete conviction worthy of a headliner. Braden grew up in Slapout, Alabama just miles from the graveyard memorial to Hank Williams. With parents who fostered an early appreciation for country music, guitar-playing songwriters populating the airwaves and a group of rock-loving friends by his side, he spent much of his life blending natural influences to craft a sound of his own. His early twenties saw him playing local shows and touring the southeast while serving as afirst responder in Montgomery. A gig in Music City inspired a move north, and Braden continuedfirefighting in the suburbs of Nashville while preparing to take his music career to the next level. His first date at the homegrown Whiskey Jam concert series in January 2017 paved his path to today. With nearly 30 million streams already to his name and a growing list of major tour credits, he introduced himself to world as a major label recording artist this spring with his take on NEEDTOBREATHE hit “Brother.” Praised for his “commanding delivery” (MusicRow), Braden offered the song as a tribute to his first responder family and all those fighting on the frontlines during the pandemic. Now he is sharing words from his own pen in his first original Warner Music Nashville release, “Love Is A Dead End Road” (Braden, Chase Rice, Brock Berryhill).

After 19 years in a uniform as a firefighter and Deputy I couldn't live with the pain anymore and attempted to drink it away. The secrets keep us sick. I thank God for my 2.5 years of sobriety and the music therapy. There is a solution. God and AA.

Mister Tyler, You took everything from my dirt road roots, to the boots emptied of my fellow troops, the pain of being Daddy that lost himself and can’t be what his daughters need after an accident, and the spiral of my mental state. Went on wound it tight, strummed it down and gave me an it’s okay to not be okay strength through that Southern backroads country tried and true voice. Well Done Brother

@@RamosPlaysGames 85% of the crap they play on "country" radio these days isn't what most would consider real country music. It's pop music with a dash of country twang. Looks like he writes most of his music. Which impressed me much more. Because the depth and feeling of a song like this shows a real ability to empathize and that will always connect with people, because it’s not shallow. I like his song “love is a dead end road” I think is the name. So I think he’s going to be okay if he can keep producing music like this. Country music has changed a lot, but the thing that always separated country from other genres to me is the ability to tell stories about middle America..

There's an old train track, goes back by the old mill Where the boys slip away every day to the whiskey still And they sell shine by the bottle for a five every Saturday Behind Old Red's Tavern but you didn't hear that from me 'Cause we all act like we don't know Where daddy got his money for a fishing pole A Zebco don't come cheap in this day and time And we all turn the other way 'Cause we've got bills that we can't pay It's a small town and we know how it goes It's just another secret that everybody knows Old man Rainey spends his days at the local store He pays for little but sometimes leaves with more But he's always got a story 'bout his boy shipped overseas And he hasn't been the same since, so we let him be And we all act like we don't know That he ain't got nowhere to go 'Cause he's too proud to beg for a handout And we all turn the other way 'Cause there ain't that much left to say It's a small town and we know how it goes It's just another secret that everybody knows Well, this simple life ain't as easy as it sounds 'Cause we've all got things that we don't talk about Jenny had a baby last spring, now she's all alone 'Cause old man Rainey's boy, he ain't coming home Now she drinks from a bottle she got behind Old Red's 'Cause she can't get the sight of him leaving out of her head And we all act like we don't know When she comes into Sunday school With a smile and baby boy in her arms And we all turn the other way Say "bless their hearts" and we just pray It's a small town and we know how it goes It's just another secret that everybody knows It's just another secret that everybody knows
