The beginning of a new era. Today will be a day that I will remember for the rest of my life. This song and my world around it, will forever be changed. This is the hardest song I’ve ever had to write and sing, but it’s my favorite for that exact reason. I wrote this song to share a story about being led into temptation and facing a battle between love and toxicity. A fight and an inner battle within our selves, by choosing something or someone we know will inevitably hurt us in the end 🥀 I believe many people need to hear this, because at some point in time we’ve all experienced this pain. I’m so grateful for the love and support you all have shown me on this song and this new era. I don’t deserve any of it, but I will always be forever grateful for the continuing support on this road. Had a 7 year relationship, my girl woke me up to say her family was coming to move her out, on a Sunday out the blue after a 3a.m. fun Saturday, heh.. Oh how blind I was, I think this song describes how no matter how close you are or how much time is put in, it can all change Any Given Sunrise. 2 or 3 years since that day an life hasn't been to kind. Lost friends long term ones, she lied to take me to court (dismissed... unreal man I loved this girl so much), and maybe even worse - we had 2 baby kittens since year 1 - she came an took then while I was at work still reeling 2nd week after she'd been gone. Needless to say devastating. Trust your insights & gut, I knew it was all too good to be true, love fading & I didn't wana believe it. She truly was "my pretty little poison" & I haven't been able to sleep or function the same ever since that day. Hope no one takes the road I did an pay this toll, it's a life jeopardizing path a walk now. Peace to all that need it. Beautiful song.

Any idy else,not at all haha unless it's 90s!! The rest is pop country! Zach Bryan and Warren are great as well!!! 90% of the radio isn't sadly these days... Independent artists like Ryan Upchurch are where it's at and leading the billboard charts!!
