Tying a Dry CDC March Brown

Спорт

March Browns are one of the first hatches that get off the ground early season and there are plenty of ways to imitate them. This is created with using CDC as the wing and has a great profile on the water, it can also be easily seen. Although I have likened this to March Brown hatches it has that generic appeal that means it can be utilised whenever the fish are looking up.

Pay no heed to those naysayers Lindsay. They can tie what they like and I'm sure that they do. They need to remember that we are all different and have tastes. As for myself, I watch, learn, and choose what I want to do. You are an amazing teacher and I am proud to be your student. I am seventy- one years young and have only been involved in fly fishing and tying for a bit over two years. Even started building fly rods. Thank you for your fine instructions. Keep them coming, my friend.

Louis, that's very kind of you to say. I take all comments into account good and bad, constructive criticism helps you improve. Folks will always have different opinions on how a certain fly should be tied. Thats the beauty of the art there is always more than one way to skin a cat.

Terry, I don't mess about I want two things from a CDC fly 1. It floats and 2. You can see it. Simples :-)

Hello Lindsay, how are you? I have always been a great lover of the March Brown as a wet fly and in latter years as a dry fly. Its just one of those patterns that will catch fish wherever you use it. Good stuff Lindsay. Atb Jim

A too long abdomen is a non sense. Sorry for my advice. This procedure is widely spread on the Net nowadays... I think a respectful proportion is first step in fly tying..
