    In my opinion I think you did an excellent job on this old fly. In finishing up the Head if you want a cleaner head wrap the last hackel around the thread and pull it back into the hackels and whip Finnish. Go ahead and give it a try. I've been twisting feathers forever sixty five years. Good luck and health for you and your's Dave Hughes 🎣🤠

    Nicely done! 👍🏻 (That said, I kind of prefer sparse and slightly tall hair wings for Catskill style flies. Even if they're not traditional. That's just me, tying!)

    They will assist on splash-down to keep the fly above the 🌊 water and float longer.
