Tyco's "Super Duper Double Looper" Set Review
Спорт
In this edition of the Track Review, we look at Tyco's Super Duper Double Looper. It was actually an interesting set with a well engineered upside down loop jump. There are also two single lane complete loop pieces. Tracks like this tend need the cars running at a specific speed in order for the cars to succeed in running the feature. Once I figured that out the track was interesting and proved to be reasonably thought out.

1992, lol. I got it new one for Xmas that year and next year got myself a Psycho RC car.
I got this as a Christmas present as a kid. The design of these was totally awesome. I had so much fun with this particular set.
Would you believe I found this set under the eaves of my house...it's been there for 28 years!! It had all the parts, the box, the track, the cars, the jumps, the guardrails, etc. It could use a decal on the big jump. But everything worked!! Thanks Tyco! I'm getting a gear for one of the cars, then "Off to the races!"

b0neme wow that’s awesome
Bringing back such strong feelings of nostalgia man stumbled across this in my heart stop this was my favorite set with my Tyco 440 cars and I even adapted I think it was an old Cliffhanger set it was a blast especially with a lap counter!!!
This brings back those old good times with this set.
One of my favorite toys I got as a kid for Christmas.
Good to see you posting a new video. Missed your content. Hope all is well with you and yours.
I still have this set. Loved it
I bought this set brand new over 20 years ago. I think my son was about 10 years old at the time, once you figure out that upside-down jump, you have it made. I still have the complete set with the Lambo's and tune-up kits. Good times!

@@williamperri3437 Hey Bill, I don't remember if it came with the tune-up kits or not. I know I have tuned them up twice and I have two kits lefts. They're still selling the kits on Ebay: Tyco 440 x2 tune up kits.
I had one of these in the early 90's
I had this as a kid. Brought back some great memories
I really enjoy your videos
Another great video, thanks.
I did not know anything about this set as I’m just getting into slot car track building and racing. Found this set on eBay, bid for it and got it. Has all the parts but no cars. No problem, I have plenty of cars. Really appreciate seeing it built because all I had was a blank box. One thing I found out pretty quick, in the big loop or jump, one of the shoots is wider to catch the cars and if you put them backwards, you find out it don’t work.
Me and my cousin had so much fun doing this one Christmas he got the snake track and I got the switch Lane we used to say that all the time great memories of my cousin Ronnie
Loved this. In endless effort to actually land the upside down jump, we’d were out the electrical and it would start smelling like smoke. Honestly the best part about toys like this.
I use to be a AFX only guy but I am finding out that Tyco had quite a few fun sets. I am hoping you do a Battle Slam review some day.
Love it, so cool.
Still got mine from x mas. Hoped it would be rare. 😭Love to see it tho. That constant speed, and the sound pattern....ahhh- Good ol days.
Another set where I'm surprised at how well the gimmick part worked. Before seeing it run, I admit I was really skeptical. Looks like a pretty fun track, especially for the kiddos.
THAT'S A AFX TRACK MY GUY!!!😂
I had this track growing up... I'm shocked how easy you made the jump loop. I remember it had a trick to it... Like letting go of the accelerator at 25% of the loop.
Wow. I had a set from the late 70s that had double loops but not the upside down jump. The highlight colors were orange or fluorescent green if I rmember.
I have this set coming. My friend got one. It was missing parts. He needs the 3 “ adapter pieces. Mine needs a couple parts too.

Cool Video! I have a question about the Tyco Controllers. Is there a difference between the Yellow Controllers, & the Black Controllers?
I got this for Christmas one year.. yeah I was kind of a big deal..well in my own raceworld I was
Bad ass
Will Auto World cars work on a Tyco zero gravity Cliffhangers

Most likely not. Most AW cars don't run well in general.
Whats the catch to the loop jump? Does it need to be stable etc.....looks like one side of jump loop is higher than the other

I remember(from like 30 years ago) that you had to let go of the throttle at 25% of the loop for it to work. I remember my dad and I having trouble making it. He was shocked when I finally mastered it. 😅
Be cool to link all of the kits together.
Look like a Vette!!
I used to have this race track when I was 9 years old unfortunately it broke stop working
I got this for Christmas and then it disappeared a couple days later. I never got answers where it went. Maybe I got mad I didn't complete the jump and my parents returned it or my heroine addict uncle stole it. I still wonder where it went 30 years later
price?
I have the white Lamborghini still.
