Today we dive into legendary English synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys. "Love Comes Quickly" was released as the second single from their debut album PLEASE in 1986. It peaked at number 19 on the UK Singles Chart in March 1986!

This type of video makes me listen to songs I’ve known for years with fresh ears. This has always been a favorite of mine from PSB and you’ve reminded me why.

Love Comes Quickly is one of the top 10 pop songs of all time. A warm and velvety melody, instruments playing the notes beautifully and drawing the harmony like a Picasso painting, along with Neil's angelic voice, is simply perfection.
Fantastic song and atmosphere, the flow of the song and his vocals are just perfect. I love everything about this song.
I think my fave of their tracks. I like it's Alright as well. Tough call.

I grew up with a ton of 70s and 80s stuff because of my dad. He taught me to play guitar and keyboard to songs from both decades. This is by far my favorite PSB song.

"Heart"/"Rent" are my fave ones both songs and videos from that period and also "Kings Cross" as a runner up from their '80s era.

I’m a big Pet Shop Boys fan (seeing them for the third time on October 7th at Hollywood Bowl with New Order). While I find it difficult to not like a Pet Shop Boys song, this one is not high on my list. Quint, I would recommend you expose Ty to another PSB from around the same time period, but, which has a much fuller and energetic feel. There is a particular live performance of this track which they did at the “Slaves To The Rhythm” tribute concert for Trevor Horn (he produced the track) which is one of my favorite live performances from Pet Shop Boys. The song is “Left To My Own Devices”. I’d be curious to see how Ty reacts to a much bigger sounding track with much more instrumentation and orchestration driving it as well as a vocal performance from Neil which he delivers in a more natural range for his voice.
