Two Weeks in the KGALAGADI - Episode 4 - Nossob & Polentswa

Join us as we travel the dusty roads of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in search of wildlife.
Heading north from Nossob we spend the morning at Polentswa waterhole watching a group of Black-backed Jackals hunting for Namaqua Sand Grouse. Later, herds of Wildebeest and Red Hartebeest come down to drink as the constant birdsong provides a background. We move to a fabulous riverfront chalet for our last night at Nossob.

Absolutely! We have booked again for next February and, true to my word, we've got a river front chalet again for two nights. Pure luck mind you, it was the only one left in the whole month.

Hey there, from one Old Codger (also with camera) to you, thanks for sharing your memories of a lovely trip. As a born South African, now living in Germany, I'm more than a bit envious, Overlanding trips, and trips like these are on my bucket- lost. The video is great, but I really like your still photography, these are stunning! Safe travels,

Many thanks for your kind words. We are booked for the Kgalagadi again next February not so much as for ticking off a bucket list but more from realising that there will come a time when travelling half way across the world might no longer be possible. It's not just advancing age but these trips are getting more and more expensive so we are grabbing them while we can.

When I was about 8 we were lucky enough to see 👀the Nossob in spate, thing is you don't know which direction the water is going to come from.
