two things I want my kids to learn...

Week 3.
What if we had the power to turn our fears into excitement? How would it change your life?
If fear is a product of the mind, the mind is what I need to understand.
So I began meditating.
Meditation has taught me how to be so far removed from my fear, that I can see it for what it is. It’s a wild bear charging at me… on tv. The moment we realise that our fears cannot hurt us, we become brave.
This is changing my life.

i worry about oversharing too.. but nowadays i try not to. if you’ve got something in your heart that you want to share, and it’s not inappropriate/offensive, why suppress and not express? be fearless. be bold. God gave us emotions and He gave each of us our own unique voice to express what’s in our hearts and minds. let yourself be heard, sonia. it’s time to be free. unapologetically yourself. life is too short to hide in the shadows. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16 🌱☀️🙆🏻‍♀️

Agreed. It’s hard to rewire the mind to do the complete opposite of what it’s been doing for so long but it’s time. Like your handle says “just to be”. 🤍

I love how you are changing the narrative from 'what if' to 'so what', it seems to take away the power from fear and give it back to courage. Keep going, Nia! We're learning to unlearn and learn alongside you and excited for what's coming for you too! Sending love from Malaysia

I remember listening to some Jayesslee covers like a decade ago.. and then would only go down rabbit holes on IG once in a while to see what y'all were up to. Recently found your channel here and I just wanted to say that your new channel, the things you're sharing, how vulnerable you're getting.. is all so so inspiring and brave. The feeling of overthinking and fear around oversharing is so relatable.. but glad to see you're still doing the things you want to do despite the fear that persists! That's where it all happens. There will always be way more silent viewers who are appreciating your work than people who will message in and share, so hope you will always remind yourself that what you're putting out there matters ❤

Hi Sonia, it’s so good to see you back. It’s so good to see you being vulnerable too. In the past several years, I have been on this journey too. Have shared with people, and many cannot accept it. But bit by bit I’m coming to understand that people can choose to take it or leave it. And I’m learning to be okay with it. I’m also a mommy of 2 boys and I totally resonated with you about after school and not knowing how the emotions are gonna be. I’m looking forward to seeing you more ❤.

can only imagine how crushing it is to be under the weight of social media. so adding another positive comment to your count ❤ thank you for sharing, and i wanna say it really helps the community (or me rather 😛) around u gain strength. excited to go through this journey with u! when i started to be able to share about my anxieties, it was only when i started to feel better and more confident. i should probably start on meditation again. i related to how the mind goes everywhere during those minutes, and wondering why im doing this when im counting down the timer. like u said, do what u wanna do, there is no need to try and please everybody ❤❤

The great bulk of my life is a war with anxiety and loneliness. After breaking up with my ex gf, I’ve been single on purpose figuring out what makes truly happy without relying on somebody else. But sometimes I feel kind of depressed and lonely. I deal with that situation by reading books, working out and watching inspiring videos like yours ❤. I am still on a journey to find out what I truly want in my life! 파이팅!

Meditating thats what i put in my reminder and always never do it is like i wake up have to rush to work then busy with work then end work then rush home at the end of the day im way too tired and just fall asleep. Is always nice to see how things is going and learn/ figuring it out together, is hard to always tell urself that yes i can do this the brain will always come out with many many reason why u can’t, but pushing it more is always hard but can see that u r trying and u will get there some way. Keep going u r doing great.
