Two Tawny Owl Chicks Are Adopted by Wild Owls | Rescued & Returned to the Wild | Robert E Fuller
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
This is the tale of two orphaned tawny owl chicks that have now been successfully rehabilitated into the wild. Their story is particularly unusual because they were fostered by a wild tawny owl family living in my garden.

ABOUT THIS FILM
____________________
Two tawnys successfully adopted
After rescuing these owls, I fed them until they were strong enough. I then placed them with wild owls that live in the valley below my art studio and the adult owls soon adopted them, feeding them alongside their own clutch of baby tawny owls.
Eric & Ernie
Like their comic namesakes, Eric and Ernie, are a very entertaining tawny owl duo and their story is a heart-warming tale of rehabilitation into the wild.

Glad you enjoyed - I thought you’d like to see Bomber who is currently a bit of a terror of the barn owl live cam. He is actually a great parent and this summer he took on Eric and Ernie the surrogate chicks as well as his own brood - respect ✊ can’t wait to go onto a live cam on these soon...

Wow. I find it amazing the adults will take in orphaned owls... and they come pickup prey when you call. Totally fascinating!
Those babies are incredibly cute! Even their eyelashes are fuzzy! With Robert's accent, at first I thot he was saying "toenails!" Wonderful work you do, Robert.
I just need to comment on you wearing protective gear instead of investing in getting the adult owls to accept you. That REALLY proves you put these owls' best interests first. Thank you!! You're an amazing person!!!!
It's amazing that you can keep up with their different appearances and tell them apart at a distance, too. Here's to your astonishing work with wildlife, Robert. Blessings on your path always.
Having these amazing reatures coming this close to you must be the most amazing feeling as well as the best reward for a job well done! I envy you, sir!
I just died seeing the fledged owlets soaked!! 🤣 🤣 Lol
I love coming back to these earlier videos and reminding myself of all the owlets that @Robert E Fuller has rehabilitated. Each one is special. Thank you so much Robert for the joy and insight you give us 🙏💚
That's so cool of you to provide some extra food for the orphaned chicks especially because you're doing it in a way that doesn't jeopardize their chances of being able to survive in the wild.
They are just the cutest little creatures... adorable. Those fluffy eyes just make your heart melt! Nature is so wonderful. We as humans are so wrapped up in trivia need to stop and smell the roses and open our eyes to the nature that surrounds us. Thanks so much Robert for giving us this valuable insight which we would never have the opportunity to even contemplate from the other side of the world.
the 2 little owls stuck together how nice for Bomber to adopt them.
I would feel really cute if I had eyelashes like Ernie's. 😁
Stunning video Robert. How wonderful that adults owls will look after little orphan owls awa their own. What a wonderful owl world. I just adore owls. Cute wet hair-dos too! Thanks so much
I'll never get tired of owlet headbobs
Eric and Ernie are so cute!! It’s so good to see them sitting next to each other in the tree, warming and comforting each other. 🥰 And really cool to see you out feeding them by helping the adults find food! And I love their wet hairdo-s 😂 Amazing video, thank you Robert 😌👏

That is one patient man. I had no idea owls would adopt the little buggers
Ernie - “‘what do you think of the show so far?” Eric - “It’s rather nice here, don’t you think?” 😏
The BBC, National Geographic, et al, should buy your videos to distribute them for educational purposes. They are absolutely wonderful!
Bless wild animal rehabbers! It isn't an easy job.

What a remarkable, incredible look into the lives of Tawnies. Magnificent, fantastic, lovely, interesting and beautifully photographed vid! A million thanks!
wow the parent owls feel a moral obligation to feed the foster owls how angelic not even some humans feel that urge
Robert, you very good 👍,,mom,, for this chick's 😃 . Love 💘 ❤ 💖 💕 your video, & my kids 18 & 14 y.o. too!
Wow, how blessed you are Robert. I must share something. It's because of a cardinal why I have two daughters (I have a spiritual relationship with birds). Back in early 2001, I was living in Watertown, Massachusetts,US (it borders Boston and Cambridge)...I had just moved there after a four year relationship. I had a large picture window, and was on the telephone with an aunt in Connecticut; as I talked, I watched the snow falling. Just then a male cardinal lands on the outside sill, looking in at me...next thing you know, I just blurt out to my aunt, "I'm moving back to Connecticut." It surprised me just as much as her. Cardinals were the signature bird of her mother, who was my father's mother. Within a short time, I was back in my home state. I was asking myself why I'd left the lovely Boston area for the Hartford area once again after being away for twelve years. I found out! On my way home one day, I stopped at a convenience store. There was a pub/restaurant just off of the parking lot there, as I was getting out of the car, I heard my internal voice say, "Go in there, you will meet someone." (it was not like me to just change course). I went in, and walked right over to the waitress, who became my wife. While we divorced in 2015...I have two wonderful daughters in my life. Thanks Grandma!
What I also like about this channel is not hearing “smash that like button & be sure to subscribe!” Makes the videos more enjoyable to watch
Great documentary,Robert! I am a big bird loving person and yes owls included. They have the ability to hunt in silence because of their special feathers. This owl in Belgium is called Bos-uil. I do love his coat and the darkbrown eyes. It's very cute to see them evolve and flew out from the nest. Hihi, the wet-heads are waiting for food in the trees. What a beautiful, fast and close encounter when they pick up the food you gave the parent to feed the youngsters. I really enjoyed this video so well. Thanks to you,Robert🪶🪶🪶🦉

It's so good that the wild owls take in orphaned owl, beautiful ❤️
Absolutely incredible, thanks for sharing. They are so beautiful.
It's like the adults are going to the supermarket hahaha. Momma owl, "Hey boys... I'll be back in a flash, going to REF to get some stuff for dinner..." Such a cool life you have!
I’m in love with these beautiful and very well made programs. So much to learn with the types of owls and castrels. Gr8 work
So lovely to see that they were adopted by two owl parents 🥰❤️❤️❤️
These are some of the most breathtakingly majestic toenails I've ever laid eyes on.
We have "Barred" owls where I live. The male and female call to each other throughout the day, but mainly at night. Beautiful and graceful flyers.
Kinda reminds me of my own parents. Didn’t matter whose kid you were, if you were hungry you get food lol
Amazing the adults take care of the adopted chicks also
Drowned owls. Gorgeous Owls. Thank you for looking after them and letting them go wild again.
9:38 The owl, probably: " What a well-behaved human"
Amazing that the wild owls will adopt other chicks!
I watch hours to your videos Soo beautiful Thank you ❤❤❤
Very beautiful young owls 🦉🦉 I love this video 🥰😍🤩
Thank you for caring for the wildlife.
Just the fact that this guy is WILLING TO CATCH SOME TALON TO THE FACE just to give two Owl chicks and adult owls the opportunity to instinctually do what they do is simply amazing to me... It's not exactly Free Willy or anything but ya still lol
Like so many others I'm a bit crazy about owls too. This is a remarkable channel, thanks again so, so much Robert.
I watch all your documentary they are amazing and your contribution towards wildlife. Love from India 🇮🇳.
Wow, feeding chicks via owl friends. Amazing.
