Two Tawny Owl Chicks Are Adopted by Wild Owls | Rescued & Returned to the Wild | Robert E Fuller

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

This is the tale of two orphaned tawny owl chicks that have now been successfully rehabilitated into the wild. Their story is particularly unusual because they were fostered by a wild tawny owl family living in my garden.

ABOUT THIS FILM
____________________
Two tawnys successfully adopted
After rescuing these owls, I fed them until they were strong enough. I then placed them with wild owls that live in the valley below my art studio and the adult owls soon adopted them, feeding them alongside their own clutch of baby tawny owls.
Eric & Ernie
Like their comic namesakes, Eric and Ernie, are a very entertaining tawny owl duo and their story is a heart-warming tale of rehabilitation into the wild.

Glad you enjoyed - I thought you’d like to see Bomber who is currently a bit of a terror of the barn owl live cam. He is actually a great parent and this summer he took on Eric and Ernie the surrogate chicks as well as his own brood - respect ✊ can’t wait to go onto a live cam on these soon...

Wow, how blessed you are Robert. I must share something. It's because of a cardinal why I have two daughters (I have a spiritual relationship with birds). Back in early 2001, I was living in Watertown, Massachusetts,US (it borders Boston and Cambridge)...I had just moved there after a four year relationship. I had a large picture window, and was on the telephone with an aunt in Connecticut; as I talked, I watched the snow falling. Just then a male cardinal lands on the outside sill, looking in at me...next thing you know, I just blurt out to my aunt, "I'm moving back to Connecticut." It surprised me just as much as her. Cardinals were the signature bird of her mother, who was my father's mother. Within a short time, I was back in my home state. I was asking myself why I'd left the lovely Boston area for the Hartford area once again after being away for twelve years. I found out! On my way home one day, I stopped at a convenience store. There was a pub/restaurant just off of the parking lot there, as I was getting out of the car, I heard my internal voice say, "Go in there, you will meet someone." (it was not like me to just change course). I went in, and walked right over to the waitress, who became my wife. While we divorced in 2015...I have two wonderful daughters in my life. Thanks Grandma!

Great documentary,Robert! I am a big bird loving person and yes owls included. They have the ability to hunt in silence because of their special feathers. This owl in Belgium is called Bos-uil. I do love his coat and the darkbrown eyes. It's very cute to see them evolve and flew out from the nest. Hihi, the wet-heads are waiting for food in the trees. What a beautiful, fast and close encounter when they pick up the food you gave the parent to feed the youngsters. I really enjoyed this video so well. Thanks to you,Robert🪶🪶🪶🦉
