    I saw so many underwhelming reviews about this car and this is one of the more realistic, down-to-earth reviews out there. I liked it. You were thinking like the consumer and not an enthusiast. I actually bought a 2020 Eclipse Cross about 2 weeks ago. So far I am absolutely loving it and I’m coming from a VW Tiguan Limited with those bone hard seats and firm suspension. The Mistu EC was a godsend. I’m not an enthusiast, so I wasn’t necessarily looking for speed, firm ride, sports car handling, etc. I wanted something comfortable, that looks modern, had more features then the VW and took regular gas. Plus, the incentives on Mitsubishi really drove it home for me. I am thoroughly pleased thus far and hope it’s an amazing experience.

    You've got the same mentality as me when it comes to choosing cars. I'm not Mario Andretti, I just want a comfortable car for my family as my daily driver.

    I just picked up my 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross GT- S yesterday. I had seen so many videos with bad reviews for this vehicle after I had signed for it, that I was so worried that i made a horrible choice. I am moving from a 2010 Dodge Caravan with no air conditioning now for 5 years. I wanted to thank you for this video. I appreciate your honest and encouraging video. I look forward to driving in this lovely vehicle. I am not looking for fancy, I am not going to be off roading, I'm a former soccer mom, moving from a van to a for "me" cross over. You were right about the speed, I didn't realize I was going at 80 in a 60 zone! I will use the cruise control for sure. Thank you again for a great video.

    You can actually adjust the volume in the eclipse cross by using a two finger gesture on the touch pad, I just discovered this the other day in mine.

    Good and fair review, however in regards to the lack of a volume knob, one can adjust the volume 3 ways: 1. The touch controls on the screen on the dash. 2. The steering wheel control. 3. The touch pad in the middle of the console. Using two fingers, simply drag up or down to adjust the volume. Loving my 2019 SE. No, not the most modern controls inside,but then lots of a vehicle's features become "old school" after 3 or so years. Personally, I rate features on functionality and reliability. If it ain't broke, don't "fix" it. : )

    Very good review. The point about ride quality means its on my list to test drive one of these as a possible long term purchase. If I have a bit more to spend I would really like the Shogun Sport but have to wait and see I guess.

    Very good review. You can set the volume on the steeringwheel, on the screen and even with two fingers swiping on the touchpad, that means. 3 possibilities. I gues thats quite sufficient.

    I appreciate this review. My mom is thinking of going with this one. She is pretty tech savy considering her age, but I don't see her digging in menus to get to functions like HVAC, heated steering wheel, seats etc. I think she would benefit from actual physical buttons. I appreciate the simplicity of the Eclipse overall. Awesome, honest review. Thank you!

    I have watched countless reviews on Clipse cross, yours is the only one that says its an acceptable car, rest all talk about lack of speed, torque, suspension being not comfortable, horrible mileage... not sure which review to trust 99 bad reviews or 1 good review??

    I'm reviewing for consumers, not driving enthusiasts. Speed and torque are irrelevant to this machine. In my custody the mileage and ride comfort were just fine. I'd suggest driving one for yourself to see if you like it.

    Drive it for yourself, THEN decide. It is by no means a race car, but acceleration is more than adequate.

    This was a great and honest review. KZread is filled with people who are biased towards certain brands, and are negative towards everything else, even if the cars are great for what they are designed to do. You get some moaning about cheap 70bhp cars saying they are too slow etc because they simply dont like lesser powered cars. It doesnt mean the car is rubbish. This is the biggest problem with car reviewers on here. Far too opinionated. Can you imagine a car salesperson behaving like that if you went in a showroom ? They would be sacked.

    Hi! Loved your review!! Do you think Mitsubishi's are reliable cars?

  • @JustinPritchard

    @JustinPritchard

    Thanks! Yes, generally. They use a lot of powertrain and other major components that are very widely produced and time tested. A lot of folks in my circle like to drive them because of the warranty, and they have very few problems, which I'd likely attribute to sticking with a vehicle design for a very long time and ironing out the bugs. That doesn't mean they're all reliable, you should always have a used car inspected by a mechanic before you buy, but in 16 years of writing used car reports, my general impression is that Mitsubishi owners tend to be fairly happy with their purchase. Hope that helps

    Honda Civic had the same for years and the one benefit is that at night, it blocks the headlights of cars driving behind you. After a few weeks driving it, you don't even notice it.
