Two Seal Rescues And A Whale!
Whales are a rare spot at Pelican Point and NO, they’re not hunting the seals. Seals in Namibia have only land-based predators like jackals and birds. Even Orcas that frequent this area once or twice a year are not hunting our seals. Both seals were caught in fishing line. Fishing activities are responsible for most of the entanglements on Cape Fur Seals. In other words: ghost fishing gear has become the biggest threat to seals and many other marine species!

Even though she was weak, the female did a nice barrel roll to try to avoid the net. Glad you spotted her. Thanks, team!🦭🌊👏

My heartfelt thanks for giving these two seals a life to live like they should. I can’t imagine hoe a seal must feel getting weaker and weaker everyday. Thank you OCN heroes you truly are amazing, all of you, and thank you to your wives, kids, other halves for supporting you.
💔The seal Wally spotted, looked very skinny and weak. She must have been in so much pain, imagine her sense of relief after you'd cut that fishing line. Thank you guys, for saving both these seals'!💕🦭
Great way to start the day OCN! The Bull was lucky to be saved before it was harmed. The young female lucky as well that the team saved it, and now can recover. Now it looks like another colony in the background that they will definitely have a few that need help as well. Thank you guys for all you do EVERY day!
Maybe that breaching whale was the humpback whale you guys rescued a couple of years ago, and he came back to salute his saviours!🐳🌊😍
The female looked so skinny, she must have been suffering a lot. Two life-saving rescues. Thank you OCN crew!!
Every life you save is another blessing to the 🌎. Thank you hardly seems adequate. ❤

That bull was as determined to get away from you as you were to net him ... nice job, Naude. It was sad when you zipped the net back up on the pup because it was somewhat effortless -- usually after you cut the entanglement and the seal can breathe again, their bodies expand more. SOOOOO glad you got them in time ... the OCN team ROCKS 💙
Hi all! I’ve watched a lot of videos, and now I almost always guess how the rescue of a seal will go, whether they will open the net on both sides, release it forward, backward, or take ropes, but sometimes I’m wrong. Thanks guys! Today is March 2, 2024. This amazing channel has 1.84 million subscribers. Subscribe if you haven't already. By subscribing, liking, commenting and donating, you help save seals.
So many seals would die if not for your organization. Thank you! ❤️🇨🇦❤️

Love how the team tries to comfort the seal in the net, "It's okay! It's okay!". 💙
The pincer movement is a great strategy! You needed everyone to hold down that big boy. Glad you were able to get to him before the line hurt him. Thanks, guys!💪👏
THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO !~ You are making it harder on yourself and the animals when you don't tell them that you are PEACEFUL.
Good to hear Wally's soothing voice again. My favorite guys saving the seals.❤
Stokrotne dzięki za ratunek😂 Pozdrawiam i życzę zdrowia i miłości❤🍀🇵🇱👋
That was unbelievable..such of rush from the beginning to the end..the speeders.. first was two . Denzel came along ..then Wally.. the angels of the Sea.. thank you so much NYC One ❤ to you all
Another great race, capture and save from the entanglement! Thank You All!💕💕💕🦭🦭
I don't think people realize just how brave all of you are. You risk maiming injuries every time you go out. Be Blessed.
Take a shot every time Tony says "big Bull". You will probably get drunk. Good job gang and its always nice seeing other animals.
Two more lives saved, thanks to the efforts of team OCN. As fast as those bulls gain weight that must have been a very recent entanglement for no injury. Painful injury on the little girl. Hope she heals quickly. ❤❤❤
Thank you my heroes for saving them ❤️ greetings to all 😊🙋🏼 and wishing you all a nice weekend 😊
Thank you for all you do.🦭

We are unfortunately not solving the problem, but only treating the symptoms of the plastic crisis with our rescues. These videos aim to show the consequences of this pollution and create a change to tackle its roots - namely our addiction to single-use plastics, the lack of law enforcement at sea, and the shortcomings of the recycling industry.
Bless you guys! For real. People that are really trying to help the seals and Mother Earth 🌍
That was an exciting rescue from the team, two precious seals can now enjoy their freedom, good to get a glimpse of the whale. Thankyou OCN. 🤗💝🏴
I never tire of saying "Great Job Team OCN". You do a terrific job & we all respect you & ❤ you❣🌞
Wow, what a rescue. Iam exhausted watching you guys. Didn't realise you had whales to contend with either. Great job everyone. ❤❤❤❤

💗💗 Thank You OCN 💗💗
the bulls always test your strength, and your abilities to catch them with the big nets, but after getting fully netted he calmed down, and let the line get cut away. the smaller seal looked like she had an infection. after she returns to the water, she can start healing, and eat lots of fish to put weight back on, and get stronger. great rescues👍👍
More great rescues!! Thank you!! ❤❤ OCN!!
