Two Lures You MUST HAVE When Saugeye Fishing at Buckeye Lake! (Intense Bite Window)

Спорт

I make an effort to visit Buckeye Lake a few times a year to chase some toothy critters. The timing is perfect right now as water temps are around 40 degrees and the shad are schooling near the banks. This makes for a recipe when targeting saugeye from the bank at this fairly large lake. This bite came out of nowhere and we ended up with a dozen fish in less than an hour. A couple lures I like to throw at this particular body of water include swimbaits, blade baits, and jerk baits. I caught up with a fellow angler and his father as we hit a really good bite for around 30 minutes during sunset. Enjoy this short video and make sure to get after those saugeye in the winter!
