The "Power Joy" seems to be a Famicom clone, the cartridge sure looks like a Famicom cart at least. I guess the controller had AV-cables coming out of it.

Totally agree with you gem about shops like the mobile game exchange grabbing games from charity shops and selling them much higher how about the poorer families who can only afford to buy games in charity shops it’s unfair on them

Ahhh the Yoshis were so cute! Always very wary of buying electronics from car boots after getting an xbox 360 where the disk drive had failed. Shame that there is a lack of honesty 😕. Great video.

I remember having all those copys of mean machines back in the day, man i regret getting shot of alot of my retro stuff. Im also shocked how many retro store you guys have up north. I enjoyed the video.

Some nice stuff at that boot fair and also Retro World. The Wii flickering screen could be one of a few things. Dodgy av port (soldered pins not holding it properly) Console could be getting too hot inside due to dust build up causing gpu to get too hot or fan not dissipating the hot air inside properly Also the recent hot weather might not be helping either?

I managed to snag a few good pick ups at twin oaks last weekend, ps2 controllers, red dead 2 for xbone and an old walkman 😀

Power joy is a plug and play and for the wii issue could be internal connection issues the wires signal probably could not properly connecting. Hard to say without getting someone to have a look.

Hi Gem, i've got a couple of spare Wii consoles if Sarah wants one. i've picked them up as bundles, added the games to my collection and now just got the wii consoles sat there.

A power joy, a nes in a controller, well nearly.

Nice finds, I have the Midnight Club LA for PS3 as well, but mine is the complete edition, with Mitsubishi Lancer as the cover art car. I'm not familiar with Wii, but just as a guess, perhaps the video lead connector has broken solder joint at the console PCB, if the image is flickering?

I’m not very technical with things. I am giving Sarah my white Wii now that I got a boxed one in this episode 🥰

If the Wii is set to 60hz on the display settings it will flicker, it needs to be set to 50hz

So the "Power Joy" is a "Famiclome" console. The console is a N64 controller that as you saw plays Nintendo Famicom cartridges on the bottom. Now as for Halo 3, it's a great game! You're right that usually people love Halo 2 with it's multiplayer, but my personal favorite is Halo 3 ODST. 2nd favorite would be Halo Reach.

1:04 How cool are cartridges compared to discs?. Not only you get a game but also two joypad adapters. Every multiplayer game like Bomberman could have done this. Cartridges are cool.

@@TheGebs24 😂 though I did find a wii unit with a memory card, when I saw it in place my heart did skip a beat, alas it was blank, the wii unit did have donkey Kong on it though ( the nes version I think)

Would have picked up earth defense force for 360. Been looking for that 😅 just dont want to pay 20 euro's for it.

Where are these car boots? In my area I'm lucky if I find any games at all, normally come across fifas 😂

Those game shops are gonna be really struggling with the current/forecast energy costs

I never go to boots anymore unless they allow buyers and sellers in at the same time. It's got so competitive that people pay to stall up so they can scoop up all the games before they let buyers in otherwise.

No offence if you are going to buy retro games like that they worth more boxed I buy and sell consoles and games for a living and I find they sell better if they are boxed
