I've read both Hobtown Mystery books and will vouch for them. Haven't picked up the new edition by Oni Press yet, but the colors look great. "Blessed Be" is still on my read pile but I liked how much background you provided. Been woefully unaware of Altergott's career, I just knew him based on his strips that would be at the end of several issues of Bagge's HATE.

Glad to hear the other Hobtown book is good, because I immediately ordered a used copy after finishing the first. I hope this book does well and Fantagraphics reprints some of his other work. I think they should at least reprint the Doofus Omnibus. Yeah, Peter Bagge had a real eye for promoting talent back in the day. He highlighted a lot of cool stuff when he was editing Weirdo.

I've been waiting for that Altergott book for a while, looks fantastic. So does the second book for that matter.

It was so long I thought it would never get here! I enjoyed both, neither of them are totally humorous or totally straight, but they are full of weirdness and both are very well crafted and interesting. Thanks for watching.
