    It's good for dominant/achiever types to ask for input or for others opions every once in a while. It's especially meaningful coming from them.

    Enneagrams 1, 3, and 8 all pursue success, just in different ways: 1s seek success through competence, perfecting themselves and trying to live up to society's standards. 3s pursue success through accolades. They grind their way to symbols of achievement and victory, because these prove how capable they are. 8s just steamroll anything and anyone in their path. Sometimes, the easiest path to succeed is to crush anyone with a shot at being better than you. I'm an INTP 1w2, and I find the Enneagrams I feud the most with are 3s and 8s, because I instinctively see their paths to success as less "legitimate". That being said, it does seem to work pretty well for them.
