god i am relieved that im not the only one who is constantly on edge in mtga nowadays bc decks are so wild that from round 4 onward basically any card could be a bomb that decides the game.

I've got a mono black commander deck that's totally built around this! In addition to bloodletter+RoD, throw in Quietus Spike, Warlock Class, Wound Reflection, Blood Tribute, Scourge of the Skyclaves, Shard of the Nightbringer and a couple others. And the best part? Blitzwing as a commander. Gotta be my favorite deck!

@@1ryb360 - Nice of you to prove that you're new to CGB's channel. CGB is notoriously honest when it comes to the winrates of the decks he plays. Even with his small sample sizes, the winrates are consistently in a realistic 50-60% range. And calling it a "9-mana combo" is such an embarrassingly disingenuous way of phrasing it. By that logic, Memory Deluge is an "11-mana draw 4".

I long for a compelation of all these streamers reacting when CGB uses this combo to insta kill them.

I saw this combo in another channel since the spoilers and today he broughts us a deck of infinite combo on turn 4. I love cgb content, but honor to the one that deserves it.

So far the most consistent and brutal deck seems to be mono-red, with Slickshot Show Off and other Plot cards as well as Monastery Swiftspear for more Prowess triggers. In can kill on turn three, and will almost always kill any opponent on Turn 4. I also draws a ton of cards through Highway Robbery, so killing one Slickshot isn't guaranteed to be enough to live. Ashlizzle played a similar version of this deck, I was really surprised to see how fast damage stacks up once you crew Mindlink Mech with Bloodletter - it's 16 damage to the opponent if unblocked by itself. Lifelink will be almost certainly required in order to survive long enough against Monored in this format.

Good video. I've been having fun with this combo. Vadmir, New Blood also works good in this deck.

I feel like this is one of those combos that, if popular enough, will just get hated out of the meta but force people to play interaction to at least some degree to kill the giant bat before the other combo resolves. Hopefully you can win from essentially paying half your life to timewalk them.

@@givitback5323 It looks like a perfect curve. Turn 2 case, turn 3 diabolic. 4 blood, 5 win. It streamlines this deck to at least always do it's thing turn 4 and 5. He's not saying it's a turn 3 win deck, it just makes it super consistent. You either start the hand with the 2 things you need or a way to get either.

Combo is so stupid, I love it. I couldn't help but laugh at every win.

Destroys Standard Bo1. The only place that this kind of combo EVER is able to be reliable is game 1 and Bo1. RIP will end the graveyard part of this, the black decks will bring in their extra unconditional removal and get rid of their Cut Downs while the control decks will bring in their sweepers and extra counterspells.

I personally hate combos like this because it totally warps the format in a negative way.

@@JaminGray47 I would not be the best person to ask as I only just started casually playing arena again to see whether it is any better than what it was but I had quit playing when the meta was Alrund’s Epiphany and much like this deck you just played control until you got that card and then the deck was setup that it was effectively game (you had “infinite” turns until you won).
