Bayezid has a close brush with death. Death is everywhere on the Magnificent Century! Bayezid gets betrayed by Rüstem, and he girds himself with his sword and goes to fight. Bayezid fights with all his strength and corners Selim. Just as Selim comes to an end, everything turns upside down because of an arrow Selim gets shot by in the chest. Bayezid gets a fatal blow and he gets terrified when he sees the person who has shot him. Selim gets afraid that Bayezid will get his strength back and advences upon his brother with his army.
Bayezid goes to Iran with his children. Suleman gets angry when he learns his son has taken refuge of Tahmasb I.
Sparrowhawk returns to the capital to kill Rüstem and gets help from someone surprising. The deadly fight between them thrillingly comes to an end. Bayezid finds out that his father bargains for his life with Tahmasb I as he expects to be forgiven. Selim makes an insidious plan that the alarm bells start to ring for Bayezid.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

If only Bayezid was as smart as Hurrem Sultan he would become Padisah after Suleiman.

Sokollu's decision to side with Selim paid off for him more than anybody else. Not only did Sokollu became the most powerful man during final years of Suleyman's rule and all throughout Selim's rule, but he also became groom of the dynasty as he was married to one of Selim's daughters.

In real history exactly the same happened. Selim and Bayezid had great civil war after Hurrem Sultan death and Selim won. The producers captured the scene perfectly.

I understand that Suleiman was old and tired here but making him look completely unfazed by all of this and taking almost nonexistent part in this conflict was pretty stupid ( considering in the finale he goes to a campaign ) also Rustem saying that without Hurrem Bayezid was doomed was completely idiotic as well considering how easily he could have helped without the Sultan even finding out Lazy writing

I don't think you know how depression works. Losing your soulmate at an early age (50's is considered a bit young to be dying), can cripple someone to the point they'll never fully recover. In real history, after Hurrem died Suleiman was inconsolable. He spent the last 20 years of his life mourning for her. The only reason he went on the last campaign is because he knew he was about to die; might as well go out with a bang. In another example over in India, the last Muslim ruler isolated himself after his favorite wife died in childbirth. She was more than just a woman; like Hurrem, Mumtaz Mahal was the Indian Shah's other half. They were practically inseparable to the point not even war could keep them apart as she went with him. And when she died, Shah Jahan practically fell apart. He ordered the Taj Mahal to be constructed for her burial as it was her final wish. When it was completed, he sealed himself inside and never came out again. Keep in mind that while the Taj Mahal was being built, the Hindus were rebelling and taking their land back from Muslim rule. But that didn't matter to Shah Jahan; he only cared about honoring his late wife's last wishes. His son was only in power for a few years before he was forced to flee and allow the Hindus to achieve victory.

Well it might've seemed lazy writing. But actually in history Suleiman became completely secluded from these political issues after facing so many deaths. He almost became mentally unstable and used to have nightmares very often about Mustafa and Ibrahim. and after Hurrem's death he became completely alone. And the battle shown between Selim and Beyazid plus all other incidents like Rustem and sokollu siding with Selim, janissaries siding with Beyazid these are historically accurate

Rustem said that Bayezid fate was sealed because of his mother death. But his fate with sealed the day where his brain has deserted. And I hate Rustem but in his place I would have done the same, there's no way I'm risking even a single scratch from Bayezid's stupidity. On the other hand the more the writers tried to impress us on Bayezid the more I found him stupid and boring, on the other hand the more they tried to make us hate Selim in this battle the more I was with him XD On the other hand the battles were magnificent and well done, I really appreciated.

When I see Bayezid rebellion I think he share the most the character rebellious of his grandfather Selim ( when Mustafa can share the talents of his grandfather). These three share in commons the difficult relationship between them and theirs fathers, they were not favorised by the Sultan. But there is in high difference between Selim Yavuz and his two grandsons. Mustafa shared with his grandfather his exploits, the way he managed his province, they have the support of the Jannissaries (I don't know if Selim had the support of the people unlike the historical Mustafa), also their capacities to act in the back of the sultan (even if still to this day the guilt of Mustafa is not clear with the venetians correspondance, but then he accepted to go to his father tent desarmed knowing there whould be a great risk for him as he was not naive unlike his character show) but of their fathers doing everything for their brothers who inherit the throne no matter what they would have done ( Bayezid II favored hightly sehzade Ahmed, Suleiman favored Mehmet against Mustafa but in the case of Selim and Bayezid it was more complicated). But if Mustafa inherited his dutiful and efficient personnality as a sehzade, he lacked his grandfather's audacity and boldness (especially if he wanted to persist in this way). On the other hand Bayezid has inherited his grandfather's angry character, his rebellious side as he also did a rebellion in his father's time against his brother when the Sultan was still alive. But he lacked his grandfather's intelligence, sense of duty and prudence (Selim decided to rebel against his brother and force his father's abdication only when he was about to abdicate in favor sehzade Ahmed, at that time if he did not do something his life was in danger because of Ottoman traditions , he had two distinct targets his father Bayezid II and sehzade Ahmed and a very specific plan unlike Bayezid who by some miracle thought he would win tears against his brother and nephew and that his father would accept that and will acept him as a heir). Sultan Selim I and the sehzades Mustafa and Bayezid are interesting to compare in their trajectories.

You are right, but there is a main difference between Selim I,Sehzade Mustafa and Sehzade Bayezid. That is that the Janissaries supported Selim and Mustafa, while they didn't support Bayezid.
