Sultan Murad IV, the saviour of the Ottoman Empire, no matter what Kosem lovers say!! Long live to Sultan Murad!!!
Sultan Murad IV's life ended tragically at a relatively young age. He died in 1640 at the age of 27, reportedly due to cirrhosis of the liver, likely exacerbated by his heavy drinking habits. Despite his efforts to enforce strict moral codes within the empire, including bans on alcohol and other vices, Murad himself struggled with alcoholism. His death marked the end of a tumultuous but impactful reign, characterized by his efforts to reform and strengthen the Ottoman Empire, as well as his ruthless methods in dealing with perceived threats to his rule. While Murad's reign saw significant military successes and internal reforms, his personal struggles and the methods he employed to maintain power left a complex legacy that continues to be studied and debated by historians.
Like sultan Murad Khan iv of Ottoman Empire,his descendant sultan Mahmud Khan ii of Ottoman Empire was also powerful by crushing the janissaries rebellion,and defeated the wahabbis,also he modernised the Ottoman Empire too.But I felt that he was not more popular like sultan Murad Khan iv of Ottoman Empire,why🤔🇹🇷?
