I am a advocate for gels in my twist out routine!! Lol but after putting on my leave in, in the shower(thanks to you lol) I put on a whipped butter I make, seal it in with oil and then put on my twisting gel. That ensures the moisture, definition and hold!

What gel do you use?

I use this product with the leave in and the so much moisture. I love how it works for me and my daughter. This was the one of the first lines I purchased back in 2011, and I keep coming back to it.

Sis the As I Am curling jelly takes me back to when I first went natural. I tried pairing it like you with the leave in and even the Double Butter Cream but it wasn’t very moisturizing to me either and it was flake city. Your twistout looks good even though it was a little dry. Tfs 💅 💅 💅 😘

The brand as a whole is not moisturzing enough to me. I like the Jbco water but hell i can make my own... its 2 ingredients lol

As I Am does NOT like my hair at all. It flaked on me like crazy. I applied it all the ways you can think of and my hair was like “WOMAN, I don’t LIKE THIS!” So I gave it up. Jelly’s & I are not a match. But your hair came out great, as usual! 💞💅🏾💅🏾💅🏾💅🏾💅🏾

Now this is my stuff! I am 3 yrs natural and the As I Am Curling Jelly is the only thing I really like to use for my twist outs. I've experimented with it many different ways too so I can give you the deets (FYI : about 75% of my hair is your texture and the rest is a little corse and I do give the sections different attention). So, when I use the leave-in/oil/Jelly combo, I wear it for approx a week the way you first un twisted it. The definition holds perfectly and it seems to hold in more moisture when unbothered like that. When I separate them and fluff, it gives me about 4 more days of wear (in the sections that are your texture) but I rub a little AsIAm double butter cream in my hands and squeeze it through my hair for a little added moisture. This may soften the definition a little more. I won't make this too much longer, but to fix the moisture issue you're looking for, try not using a leave-in at all, then when you section your hair to twist, use some double butter cream, then the jelly. It should be super moisturized and still defined. I'd love to see how it works if you try it! Your hair is always beautiful.

My hair hate butters and creams but Luv mousse, gels, and jellies for my twist outs and braid outs with Jamaican Black Castor Oil to seal my ends. Now i can't get a wash and go to save my Life. The 2 times i tried a wash and go my wash and go was more like a wash and went 🤣 🤣 meaning my curls go in hiding before they ever really curl. My hair won't let me be great like this. i’m 8 months late but… when you try a new product, ask yourself “How does my hair feel?” “How does my hair look?” “Did the product penetrate my strands?” “Any extra breakage/shedding?” And compare your answers to other products that you usually use.

That makes sense!!!!☺️ I see what you mean…, I use “Curlessence Moisturizing Curling Jelly” and my hair is so pretty and the curls just pop and are defined… I thought it was the way that I twisted my hair didn’t even think to think that it was the product I put in my hair!!!😳🙄🧐🤔🤦🏽‍♀️

I just recently bought the curl twist cream at sally beauty supply and i have to say there products are too expensive ..why are they charging us 29 dollors for a big bottle of that curl twist cream.. I looked to the right and they had a smaller bottle for 12.99. they are crazy.. Im on the fence about the smell and we shall see tomorrow when i take down my twist out how it works.
