Twist Out on Naturally Curly 3B Hair

Фильм және анимация

Finally here is my basic 2 strand Twist out tutorial! This twist out elongates my curl pattern instead of defining it but for some people it can be done to define and add more texture to your natural hair depending on how tight you twist and what your natural texture is and the products you used. All results are beautifully unique no matter what. Hope this helps =)

I've been straightening my hair for seven years and I couldn't even imagine going out with my hair being naturally curly. However, I stumbled upon your videos about heat damage and how to make your hair healthier and I realised that my hair deserves to be taken care off. So I followed all your instructions, and now I can proudly say that I'm on a good path to recovering my hair and the best part is that everyone loves it! Big thanks to you Alba, you are amazing!

So I tried this twist out on my dry hair as directed with a gel souffle by shea moisture n it turned out GREAT!! I have tried soooo many different styles, methods and products to lengthen my curls n prevent the major shrinkage that happens n this is the ONLY thing that has worked n they looked soo pretty after I took out the twists!! Im very happy with this results as is my fiance and I did it in both my daughters curly hair (they have different textures of curls from mine n each other) n it came out gorgeous as well. We have received so many compliments. Thanx so much for sharing this!!!

Thank goodness you posted this! Ive been wearing my hair naturally curly for about a year now and chopped most of it off over the summer. I gave up on twist outs and braid outs because they would never work for me! They never had any real definition or any type of movement to them :( I tried this last night expecting the same result but it worked out so much better and i actually feel pretty again with my hair so short in this style! Thanks so much!

You are absolutely stunning! And your hair is perfection. My 8 year old daughter is biracial and has beautiful soft curly hair. I'm gonna try this out with her. I usually put hers up in a ponytail with a bow. Now that she's older and has done the ponytail and bow thing basically her whole life lol I want to experiment with different styles for wearing hair down. I love how it elongated your curls and am hoping it will do the same to hers.

Vanesa AMV Length definitely plays a role in the tightness of curls. I have 3a/3b curls as well. When my hair was about bra strap length, it was wavy near the roots, and curly down the rest of my length. Just recently, I cut my hair above my shoulder and now have more defined curls that people think I'm curling my own hair because it wasn't as curly when it was long. It's a sacrifice some girls have to make if they want length. Hope this helps

It sounds like heat damage so simply avoid heat and get a trim and with time you'll see your cues bounce back as long as you keep it healthy and away from any heat

True! Plus if you have heat damage like Alba said, you'll have a better idea of your curl pattern if you cut it off. But if you don't, then it's more a matter of accepting and working with what you got. :] That's exactly what I was thinking when I chopped off my hair. In the end, you gotta make sure what you want is really what you want cause like you said, it takes a long time to grow

Hello, i'v never tried it on dry hair so i will next time. It's just unfortunate we can not have these products you use here in Reunion island. But thanks for all your advices for make up too. You helped me to be more in peace with the woman I was inside, to bring it out. And that's more than a great step . Thanks

Twist outs never work for my hair ever! If I were to manipulate my curl pattern I would have to do a braid out because my hair will always unravel from twists.

Try doing the twist out and using small flexi rods around the twists so they hold through the night. It's the only way a twist out works for me.

I use to had the same problem until I started doing the twist outs on 100% dry hair and I also use a think conditioner like wen. The think conditioner makes the ends stay together a lot , maybe that will work for you !!!
