To twist hair what comb you use and is edgewax good for twisting thick hair
@KeishDenise
4 жыл бұрын
Great question! I typically don’t use an edge wax because it can be a little hard to wash out. However, it could work for thicker hair. My suggestion would be to use it with a water base product such as Edge Booster. As for the comb, I just use a regular rat tail comb.
Why do and her son look exactly the same age🤣this isn’t even me tryna give a random compliment or nun I fr ahd to read the name of the video a bunch of times to make sure I wasn’t tripping😭
Hi from UK - how long can this style last? Need something for my boys hair for school. Tired of combing his Afro everyday lol. Thank u xx
@KeishDenise
3 жыл бұрын
Hi!!! Thank you for watching. This style can last anywhere from 2 - 3 weeks just depending on how each individual takes care of their hair. If it's tied down it will last for a while.

the products you use to twist it , you apply the edge control at the roots ? then the curling cream when twisting ?

Were you braiding at the beginning then twisting toward the end of each hair strand?
@KeishDenise

@@KeishDenise thank you!
Are you starting each twist with a Braid??? I usually twist from the scalp, but maybe braiding first elongates the twist??
@KeishDenise
3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes I started with a braid and the reasoning is correct. Starting with a braid helps to elongate the hair. He has a lot of shrinkage so this method helps.
@rosebeauty787
3 жыл бұрын
Hello it’s hard to tell how exactly how you do it but these came out so nice 😍 I want to do these to my man braid first then than twist right ?
Nice
I was wondering, is this a hairstyle that i can maintain for a long while or do I have to redo it every once in a while? I have tight curly hair and I have never tried this hairstyle.
@KeishDenise
2 жыл бұрын
Depends on what you consider a while. In my opinion I would say 2-3 weeks at the most. 3 is stretching it unless you take care of it. How you care for the style will determine how long it would last
How long does your hair have to be for this hair style
How long he been growing his hair? I wanna twist my hair like that but I’m not sure how long I should wait
@KeishDenise
3 жыл бұрын
He’s been growing his hair for about 2 years. If you have a lot of shrinkage I would recommend blowing your hair out to stretch it. This makes it easier to twist if it’s too short in its natural state. I hope this helps and thanks for watching 😊

His hair is natural thick.
How long was he growing his hair out before he twisted it?🤔 and how long should you grow it out before you twist it?
@KeishDenise
3 жыл бұрын
Hello, I want to say he was growing it out for about a year, year and a half. But if the hair is not long enough to twist, coiling is always an option. I have a video on that as well. kzread.info/dash/bejne/kYSVuKaGqauTo7Q.html

I am a absolute beginner and learning how to take care of my partners hair. I had a quick go tonight before I bought all the products, but the twist wouldn’t stay in. What am I doing wrong?
@KeishDenise

Hey! The key is taking a little product in your finger tips and swirl around the end of the twist to keep it from unraveling.
How do you keep up with the twist? At night and throughout the week
@KeishDenise
3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! He should be sleeping with a durag or something on his head but he doesn't. I did purchase a satin pillow case to help protect his hair, that's something that I would recommend to help the style last.
them was nice fr i need some rn but they gone be a lil shorter

Try and blow dry your hair to stretch it and avoid using a product that will cause it to revert back.
Hi your son's hair looks so nice. I have a quick question, in what order did you use the products. I saw you used the spray bottle from AS I AM to soften his hair. But did you go in with the leave-in conditioner by Cantu and then coat each section with the texture id? Thank you!
@KeishDenise
Жыл бұрын
Thank you! And yes that’s exactly what I did. The As I Am was sprayed first and then I applied the leave in. I did apply more leave in as I combed out each section. His hair was super thirsty lol

Hi Do you use all of the products listed in the hair before twisting other than the edge control and the oil to the scalp?
@KeishDenise
3 жыл бұрын
Hello! Great question! Because his hair needs all of the conditioning and moisture I do. But it’s definitely a preference depending on the person and their. He doesn’t take care of his so I make it a point to make sure it’s moisturizer with moisturizing products.
Did you start it off as a braid then switched to 3-strand twist?
