I agree! I'm thinking of having some on my office set up! They connect with Razer Chroma and it would be cool to see the effects during gaming.

I ❤️ my Twinkly lights they’re my favorite 🤩 so far. We have 3 sets so far, bought 1 with the music 2 sets of rbg+w icicles & string lights. 3 is not enough I want all of them. I love making art out of lights but these are really awesome. I’m memorized by them. Makes me feel like I’m a kid again going for rides with my grandpop looking at all the amazing beautiful light displays. He always took me every year to see, was also a history lesson too. I have obsession for Any kind of holiday lights! But we promised we do 1 different show every night till Xmas. ☮️❤️🧡💛💚💙💜☮️

I was cycling through the presets on Twinkly Music!

I don’t think you can group as many strings of the lights (Twinkly RGB Gen 11 ) as you want and have them in sync? Can you confirm please? What is the music dongle plugged into please?

Hey Tommy! Yes indeed they do. You’re right. However, Twinkly music adds effects not present on the current app and also makes it so the sync is much much better and accurate.

Is that a 600 LED.set .... If so can you measure the plug housing temperature?

I have a 550 (250 + 150 + 150). The temperature is pretty low. I mean i never noticed it being hot to the touch.

Hey these look great Can the app control more than one set of lights or string of lights at a time with different effects? For example if there were two sets connected together on a tree out the front of a house and then another two or three sets connected together laid out across the span of a house could you have one display on the tree and a different display across the house? How do the 2D and 3D work? Is 2D a front picture and 3D scan is taking a video around the tree?

Hey Tony! The 2D takes a frontal image of the tree/lights, where the 3D takes pictures of the sides. It helps the mapping to be more accurate and provide more fluidity to the effects of the side/back LED's of the strip. :) Glad to have you around! Cheers! ~Dial

Sorry for the late reply Chuck but yes, the dongle should also connect to the app after pairing mode is entered.

Patrick! I actually did a bit of a cycle there. But they all seem to do amazingly well with music. Keep in mind that those effects are from Twinkly music and not just Twinkly lights.

Its infinitely better than the app. The dongle is very sensitive to the music as you can see it. It did really well for us.

Hello Christy! Im Pretty sure you can. The music runs based off the app and thus connects to the lights. Should not work any different than the stand alone lights. But im not 100% certain of it.

1:56 "You can select all different sorts of effects . . . " Now, does that mean the manufacturer is actually giving me a feature I would want in such a product . . . or does that mean the manufacturer and/or designer were too ignorant to include the one feature which would be a deal-breaker for me without it??? The feature to which I am referring would be the ability to select multiple effects, and then automatically apply one effect at a time, which would cycle through the chosen effects at a constant frequency. Of course, it would be nice to have the ability to define said frequency (the duration each effect lasts), but I would still be content with a selection of predefined durations (i.e. - 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes). I would also prefer the ability to randomize the order in which the selected effects would be applied. Further customization features which I feel such a product should have is the ability to define the order in which the effects would be applied. However, if the product did not permit the user to define those customization features manually, or at least allow the user to choose from a predefined list, it would not necessary be a deal-breaker for me. However, I would definitely choose a more expensive product over this one based solely on those features being available in a competitor's product. Does the product function in a manner that provides the user with similar control to that mentioned above . . . or is the manufacturer more focused on the give us money, buy our crap, just give us money greedy perspective lacking any authentic concern for pleasing their customers, meaning the only control the customer has can not be programmed, and must be performed manually each time . . . such as the narrator originally states, "You can select all different sorts of effects . . . ," but in order to apply each effect, the user needs to access the app on their phone, and manually change the effect each and every time they want the effect to change??? I have a feeling that the company does not possess a deep enough concern, nor appreciation for its existing, and potential customers for them to put forth the little extra work that would be necessary to create such a customizable product. Instead, they try to convince us that this is the future of technology here today when in reality, it may be technology that is here today, but it is by no means the technology of the future because future technology would be more automated than that, or to steal a line, future technology would be more customizable, and programmable by the user to where they can simply set it, and forget it!!! So, are my senses picking up correctly on this company, or did they actually design some customer control over this product for customization capabilities???

They have updated their app imensely over the seasons and this year is the best version yet. There are numerous ways of selecting your rotation of effects and even create your customizable ones. Cheers!

Your review is great and almost has me convinced, however... I read other reviews that state the application is buggy, difficult to map out and gives you errors. In addition, people said that this is only compatible with IOS and not Android. These lights look great, but I don't want to spend a great deal of money for something that has very little troubleshooting support, won't work and can't return.

Really appreciate your feedback, but i have had mine and thus far i have had 0 issues with the mapping of the lights (and i do 3d mapping) or bugs with the application, It has actually gotten a lot better from last year. just an add on note, works just fine on Android! just set mine up today no issues...the individual mapping can be a little finicky, but over all the lights and program work great! so go for it:-)

@@TechUnafraid I was just about to grab a string of this lights until I read the mapping of the lights in 3D mode does not work right when using an Android device, more specifically, I own a Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra.

Ok that would be something for the outside. pretty cool, but this twinkly light company will not be around much longer, $100 plus for a strand of Christmas lights are just too, too, too damn much. $25 a strand yeah not $100 plus, besides, a lot of people lost their job so!!!

Well I agree with you that the price may be excessive for a strand of Christmas lights these guys have grown three times their size over the last year due to their sheer success on Christmas 2019. They are not stopping now and they are on target to double the size of the company one more time while doubling their revenue. It’s pretty crazy what people will pay for a product that works and is of great quality. As far as the usage from your previous comment I agree 2020 is a peculiar ear and I’m hoping we can go back to parties and gatherings and decorating our outdoor in the near future to enjoy with your family and friends. I've just bought a set of these and I would say that you get what you pay for. They are obviously popular as they are nearly all sold out in the UK. They are as good as they look and very user friendly. I'm a happy customer 😃

We bought the 600 light strand for 160 US. Just bought the music dongle because these lights are worth every penny. Were light nerds and with no live music and mostly concert streams these will be a great addition to a covid era household haha

I don't like it. It's too much like a disco place!

There are several different types of light effects there Rasmokey. You can even use an effect called "Vintage" which mimics the good old style of old christmas lights. The important bit here is to always have the option and not just buy into one type of light setting. Glad to have you on the channel! Cheers ~Dial
