This guy is my good friends neighbor. Met him last week. Wholesome and humble guy, we talked cars for as long as we could (before his wife came home haha) and he showed me around his shop and this truck of others. Believe it or not, that’s original paint on the truck!

Any original Johnny Cash song without the remix BS wouldve been fine for this. i watched this a few times on mute , but added my own track to it. the truck is one of my favorites, in fact I took a screen shot of it.

Nice truck, from the look of the mountains I say Apache Junction area. I personally would have like a nice 383 stroker instead with a carb, these trucks are designed for wrench turners not engineers with computers. But that's just me, hell I'm still running points and condensers on all my classics.

Don't think it'll be a difference in naturally aspirated. But for turbos and superchargers they will restrict airflow. Seen superchargers that can t make boost because of the air filter.

I have zero issues with my Spectre air filter. I have the 14" round, 4" tall set up with the filtered top. All the flow I need for my '67 C10 383 stroker with a Holley 750 D.P. carb. Better flow than my Hilborn style air scoop. About .09 second 1/4 mile flow better.

looks exactly like my vortec in my 03 tahoe. he's probably running a stock gm 5.3 liter, maybe even a 4.8 with an eBay turbo kit. Can't be sure but that's how I'm betting my money. With the proper resources you could probably pull this off for 5 grand. Find a low mileage gm truck motor and buy a cheap turbo setup. Hardest part would likely be plumbing the pipe for the turbos and the exhaust. It would be reliable and give you enough punch to do some mean burnouts but not really good enough to compete at the racetrack.

He shud of had a lil bit more motor sound , but overall , it’s hard to go wrong with Johnny Cash ,, sweet truck , Shud of had aTrump sticker on the back windshield, thennnn it would of been a GREAT VID
