Today, we are reviewing a new grill to the Embers showroom. Check out the Twin Eagles Pellet Smoker! This BBQ is making its way into the luxury catagory of BBQ's and will for sure make an appearance on our next Top 5 Pellet Smokers video.
This grill is so cool because of the quaility at which its made at and the hybrid functions you get. As you can see in the video, we did a magnet test on the whole grill. The whole thing is made of 304 stainless steel! this is a very high quality well built grill. Another cool thing about the Twin Eagles is the charcoal tray you can add in. This essentially makes this BBQ a hybrid grill. In the video Trevor uses pellets, charcoal, and wood chunks! This will add so much flavor to your cook!
As always, we appreciate you watching the video! Be sure to like, comment, and subscribe. More video coming out soon!

Love my Twin Eagles. Never thought about charcoal brisket cooking. Very interesting. Also was lucky I only spent $6,000 on mine but it's also built in and not on a cart. Thank you for the review and ideas. It's worth the money guys!

Finally a real review of this spectacular grill! Love it. I have a Memphis Pro ITC3. The Twin Eagles pretty much copies the basic concept of the sloped deflector plate with a middle insert that can be swapped out. Memphis could easily engineer a drop-in charcoal option and a software update for the ITC3 that could accommodate the pellet fire start and fan to stoke the charcoal. I would buy that accessory in a heartbeat. Sadly, it feels like Memphis is stuck in neutral.

At 6k and up, the Memphis is quite expensive. At $10k, no matter how cool it is, the twin eagles is hard to justify even if you have the money to burn.

As always, a very well done & through review by T! I bought my WaterPlace fireplace and other high quality products from Embers, even though I live in Texas. Why? Because these days are the best!

I wonder if you kill the fan in charcoal mode so it is not feeding would it get enough airflow to work like a kettle or egg style grill. With the fan going on high you are almost making a home forge. Seems like the fan mode would be great for your cooks where the lid can be open the whole time but also is going to burn through it faster.

Mad scientist BBQ did a Costco Choice Brisket on Twin Eagle using rotisserie. They thought it would be terrible, but the results were surprising. Twin Eagle was chosen because rotisserie motor is heavy duty and has the torque needed for handling the brisket. Check it out on youtube

Beautiful grill, however…. I have done six or seven 1 to 3 hour cooks on my new twin eagles pellet grill. Every time I got a significant accumulation of ash in the cooking chamber (and on the food), a little more ash collects below the cook chamber, but not all of it. The manufacturer recommends cleaning out all ash after every cook, which I have never had to do with my Traeger or Green Mountain grills and I find excessive. Another consideration is that this grill uses pellets at about twice the rate as my large Traeger or Green Mountain grills. Couple this rate of pellet use with the relatively small pellet bin, and you will need to add pellets about every three hours when cooking at only 250 or so. Also, as I watch the cooking temp, it seems this grill commonly goes 40 to 50 degrees above and below the set temp. I have called the manufacturer and been reminded that I must clean out ash after every cook and just keep using the grill and things will improve. I’m waiting for additional input from Twin Eagles support staff.

@@embersliving I had a nice long chat with a manufacturer’s rep about the ash problem. In short, he said that it will improve with time but will not totally go away. He also said that there will be a software update available towards the end of March 2024 and that update should help. He also said that using the ceramic searing insert while smoking at low temp may also help reduce ash in the cook chamber. Meanwhile I am experimenting with inserts at the edges of the cook chamber that might slow air circulation up the sides.

There is not one pellet grill produced today that can give you the flavor of a charcoal grill or an offset smoker. Wood pellets and a tiny burner pot can not and will never replace a true fire from charcoal or wood. $200 or $20,000 pellet grill cant come close to the flavor of a Weber kettle or and decent offset where the fire is maintained properly. Wooden pellets are not a replacement for actual wood or charcoal. Save your money. You will never achieve the same results. Cheers!!

@@embersliving Buy a $99 Walmart kettle if you want to cook over charcoal. If you want to purchase an outdoor oven so as not to heat your home in summer, please purchase any pellet grill. Both the pellet grill and indoor oven will provide the same smokeless flavor to your protein. Wood pellets are used to heat homes. Clean burning heat. Name one BBQ cook off championship won using a pellet grill. No pellet grill has ever won any of the thousands and thousands of cook offs in the US. Not one! Save your money and learn how to cook and smoke real BBQ! Cheers!!
