In Hollywood, it's all about following the money. When a film of a certain genre/IP is successful at the box office, studios wanna make more of these type of movies. The fact that this movie was done by director who made it (in many aspects) her own way, and the studio was able to let her get away with it, and earning $700 million at the box office, and on top of that still has that timeless quality to it speaks a lot to the fact luck has been on the side of this universe.

love this commentary videos...btw, the twilight DVD has a great commentary video with Robert and Kristen, one of the funniest ones ever there was a period of my teen years where i would watch this movie at least once a week, and love every bit of it. i still love and im sticking by that stament, even though now i a full grown woman also i have always apreciatte how this entire franchise introduce such cool music artists to our generation... Muse, Florence + The Machine, Dead Cab for Cutie, Editors, Bon Iver, The Black Ghost, etc.

I first watched this movie when I was a teenager I am 25 now it's still my most favourite romantic movie that created Definition of true love into me,When I will be 50 It still will be my one and only and I am not a romantic movie seeing person ,I never read any romantic book except twilight.Nothing will be as heavenly as pure as the love that had between bella and edward.

wowowow this was great!! I was unsure who is running the TV series and the question came up, it just made me yearn for Catherine to be involved! Catherine is a yearner and dreamer and that resonates directly with why Twilight is forever beloved and will remain iconic forever.

I understand that some of the main actors got extra bonus checks after Twilight came out because Summit profited so well from its release. Catherine should have at least been given a 3 picture deal (whether Meyer’s other novels or not) or, at least, a car! She was masterful at handling the beginning of this juggernaut that really swept us in to these stories and the subsequent films! Perhaps with new contracts just hashed out, other Directors will benefit more equitably from their contributions.

Great interview. As a teenager, I hated the movie. I was so disappointed. The cast felt slapped together. Only Dr. Carlisle, Emmett, Alice, and Charlie were well casted. They weren't even the main characters! Rosalie's actress was beautiful, but looked terrible as a blonde. They really couldn't find a blonde actress? Or at least a brunette who looked good blonde? Rosalie's beauty was important in the book and she looked sickly in the movie. Back in the day, I watched it with my high school boyfriend and he liked it more than I did. He had no idea that Rosalie was supposed to be the hot one. He thought Alice was far more beautiful (Ashley Greene was!) As an adult, I appreciate the campy cheese (hang in there, spider monkey! 😂) But I struggle to believe that much effort was put into it. The sets and cinematography were great, but that's about it.

It seemed like the crew were just going through the motions for breaking dawn one and two. I like those the most because Robert Pattinson's charisma peeked out at times. The director wasn't hovering over him, reminding him to act like he smelled a turd the entire time. Plus the plots of those were so wacky that the camp was dialed up to 1000 and they became so bad they were great. I also liked Kristen better as a vampire.

Robert was not good looking enough… or really at all… and Kristin is an awful.. one-note, one-face/look “actress”… it’s the books and the story that catapulted, they really could’ve put waaaay better ( and better looking purely because that was the character description) actors!! Oh God Kristin is a terrible actress.

Robert Pattinson looks better in his 30's (or maybe it's just because everyone looks hot as Batman) but God damn he was an awkward teen. I thought he was too unattractive to play Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter too.
