Andrei begins to suspect his partner, Masha, due to her behaving suspiciously. But after a conversation with Liza's neighbor, he finds out that the person who shot his colleague was a man.
Following that, he finds the case of the murder of a restorer, which happened in that very same apartment 40 years ago. Andrei has concerns that he himself killed his colleague and shot himself, in order to divert suspicion away from himself.
