In the wii version of the game, if you disable the pointer controls in the game’s settings, you can use the analog stick when flying up to the upper section of the river.

Wo I didn’t know that either as a kid it always felt more…dam I’m not good enough and less these controls suck Success never felt too far out of reach, nor did it feel like an annoyance probably bc it felt like I could overcome it with just a little more practice so I enjoyed it Skyward sword, I could not say the same, but I played that years after the fact
I love this game with a passion. I’m glad it’s starting to get more popular and loved
I may be a little biased because TP is my favourite Zelda game and my 2nd favourite game ever but I think the opening is genius. Twilight Princess, in my opinion, was the first 3D Zelda game to really nail the Hero's Journey. Ocarina and Majora both start off the game with a sense of urgency; in Ocarina your very first task is to meet the Deku Tree and not 20 minutes into the game you're told that the world is in danger and only you can help. In Majora, Link is already a hero. He's already gone through the events of Ocarina and is once again thrust into the hero position because there'd a very clear and devastating threat to Termina. TP, however, starts off relaxed and peaceful. Link is a simple ranch hand and you spend your time just being another resident of Ordon, nothing more and nothing less. Link is not a warrior, he's a caregiver and a protector. Link's quest in the beginning isn't to save the world, its to rescue his friends. It just so happens that his call to action ends up catapulting him into a position where the fate of the world rests on his shoulders. Windwaker has a similar feel to its opening with your journey to rescue Aryll being undercut by Ganondorf's conquest of Hyrule, but I don't think it nails the intro quite as hard because Link isn't just a simple villager. He's a fighter, he trains with Orca and he comes from a line of warriors. That fighting spirit lives inside him. And while TP Link does have the Triforce of Courage and ancestral ties to the previous Links in the timeline, TP feels the most disconnected from the overarching narrative that spans these games. Plus a big reason for his motivations is his relationship with Midna, something Windwaker could never have done with KORL.
Yes, this game is really good! My third favorite Zelda. Nice video, I really enjoyed it. The humor hit surprisingly well!
Cool retrospective making me think about replaying this. Agreed with most the vid except the sacred Grove/master sword puzzle was like my favorite in the game :(

I have changed my mind a bit since this video, I'm still not the biggest fan of it, but it's not as annoying as I made it out to be
We have SUCH different takes on video games! I love this game! (Mostly I do get tired of wolf link) Alright, I’m hooked. Im subscribed, I gotta know what you think of windwaker next. 😂
Oh shit I guess I already subscribed 😂 I’m dead.
Also, I’m curious if you will be doing retrospectives on the 2D Zeldas. I’m quite fond of a lot of them, especially Minish Cap, so I would love to see some retrospectives on them and hear your take on them.

I'm planning on covering the 2D games as we approach Breath of the Wild 2's release

@@SuperCameraGuBrothers That is great! Will you be doing them in the order that they were released?

Sorry for not responding sooner, this Breath of the Wild video is a lot bigger than I initially thought it would be. The NES games and Link To The Past will be one video, and then I'll go in release order from there. The multiplayer titles will come later since they're gonna take a bit more scheduling to record for.
Damn, don’t understand these critiques. I don’t think twilight princess is necessarily my favorite Zelda game like a lot of other people, but this review seems so negative I just can’t relate to it at all. Guess it’s just not for me!
Mortal draw is OP and i will DIE on this hill Its basically a guaranteed one shot even if you keep using the ordon sword extremely useful on the redeads Especially on my sheildless run

It never occurred to me to do that
Despite saying its your favorite zelda game, all you seem to do is complaining about it. Havent watched your windwaker video yet but already dreading how angry you'll sound in it

In my defense, this is the first time in my life I have ever complained about Twilight Princess. Also, apologies for Wind Waker

Sometimes the harshest of criticism is reserved for the things we love the most.
"Wind Waker" has unremarkable music? I'm out, it can't be a good video starting with THIS.

If I had a nickel for every time I insulted someone for saying I think Wind Waker's music is only okay, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice
You said this was your 2nd fav game and spent more time complaining about it in every section.

I think we're more critical of the things we love 😂 We love it and want it to be good, so we're more harsh on the things that bring it down
