I hate the pull rates getting harder. It is depressing to get a booster box without an SIR.

I think pull rates should be better than the recent sets.. Idc if the value of the cards are lower that way!

Not all of us can afford to open even 1 case of booster boxes let alone multiple, so easier pull rates are quite nice but they don’t need to be too easy. They just needed to make sure you got at least 1 sir or hyper rare per box and not be a complete crap shoot like these last two sets.

What is the best semi recent set to get the best hits?

I agree with Matched… we dont get to spend much money on the hobby and when we do my son pulls the 151 Zapdos(our biggest pull) and it had a dent on it😢harder pull rates would be the worst but when you finally get to pull a great card and its quality is bad, breaks your soul.

A zapdos is still great pull hope you can still enjoy it despite the dent!

I feel like every set that's not Crown Zenith has rough pull rates. Every set should have Crown pull rates imo.

Base S&V and paldea had good pull rates for anything > double rare. Otherwise yeah crown zenith is still the 🐐

Disagree. If everything is easy to pull the cards lose all value. The ‘chase’ card of the set would be worth $5

​@JTrain1118 if its a small set I agree with you. But CZ did it right. Having 70 cards to chase and 35 of the being harder to pull means you have fun opening packs in general (kids or casuals) but you still have a chase as you may pull a hit in every 3 or so packs but it's still around 1 in 600 to pull a specific gold and 1 in 200/300 for the vstar alts.

My take: Pokemon messed with the pull rates (somewhat) to try to rekindle that chase mentality for *collectors* that largely defined much of the Sword and Shield era. They obviously know this era isn't being as well-received by collectors. I don't think it's working and obviously, it's not the same as the SW & SH secret rare alt arts, but I guess time will tell.

I just wanted to update that I splurged on Twilight Masquerade. Over 120.00$ worth of product and not even an alt art, the rarest pull was a palafin ex, normal. These rates are garbage. I got like 8 monkidori’s

@calhimself6552 they nerfed the pull rates for a reason, I am sure . I'd stay far away from anything single you buy. I normally got for a card or something close to it. Opening in massive quantities is the way to go, it seems like . I opened 75 booster packs in my newest video and didn't do too badly. But not the best . The best way to go is single booster sleeve packs . Let's say you buy 10 Twilight Masquerade Booster Sleeve packs . You'll probably only pull one ultra rare ... maybe 2 at best. It's seems like it's one of seven packs . I feel like it . Chrck out my opening man . I'd appreciate it .

Pull rates are still better than they have been in the past before the trainer gallery era. I remember opening boxes of Evolving Skies and only getting 4 pulls with the best pull being a Vmax. It’s interesting to see see how pull rates affect appeal and sentiment toward sets simultaneously

Yes, in fact, I had that very experience with evolving Skies...and due to that, I stopped buying boxes, and have a very negative feel for that set -- where I spent so much money and got so little. 😞

I pulled 1 illustration rare out of 12 packs and one ace spec. I wasn't thrilled.

I haven’t been effected enough to feel an effect for reprints since I’ve only started collecting last year. But of the new sets, pull rates are iffy…after a few booster boxes and I still miss a few regular cards makes me mad. I’m not including IR, SIR,….just commons and uncommons as I attempt to master set.

I'd gladly have harder to pull rates if they could produce cards of quality

Ugh..that's the worst. Finally get a good pull and the centering is horrible. Usually end up having to re-buy the single anyways.

I absolutely love the chase but there is nothing worth chasing is the last two sets and looks like the next specialty set will follow suit.

im a new fan that got into pokemon when paldean fates came out. It's not fun spending hundreds attempting to master set, and buying booster boxes getting no SIR or Hyper rares isnt fun. I started playing the tcg, and i wish i could rock alternate art cards but unfortunately its too expensive.

They are only low compared to the first few sets of the SV era. They are still up overall from most of pokemon card history.

It's possible you were a bit more lucky, but hit rates were up a little everywhere except for Ace Specs. So it's nice to see. As usual, I love seeing all the data.

Oh so Pokemon doesnt publish ratios! This is a great video.... im learning quickly 😆.... I'd love to see a video of you building a deck from TWM... sort of breaking down why certain cards are important for battling.... you mentioned the Dragapult ex is the one "you want to get".... curious why? The players guide from the trainer box doesn't highlight that particular card..... (my daughter and I love the guide book... reminds me of old video game guide books lol)

Opened a booster box, got lots of hits. Very happy and this artwork is next level. The holo on some of the cards is so pristine as well.

I don't mind the pull rates as long as the quality is good on them and the value stays decent. But that's not the case at all

I have been so lucky with my box. I had the SIR Kieran, both Dragapult, the Eevee and Tatsugiri as main hitters. Love this set.

My LGS has delay in receiving this new set, will open my BB next week! Can't wait!

I opened 2 boxes first had no SIR or hyper rare. 2nd box had a both SIR and hyper rare lol. Still got some great full arts and IRs out of both.

The Binder is so cool

I got 144 sleeved boosters and it ended up being an amazing decision for me. Have all but 6 of the cards and I pulled carmine, greninja, blood moons ursa, perrin, buddy and so so so many more.

Man, Pokémon made it so easy to pass on this set. Just gonna grab the 3 or 4 cards I want.

Still hate the pull rates. SV01-SV03 was the best imo

My sis and I opened 20 packs. I opened 6 packs and my sis opened an ETB plus 5 packs. I pulled 2 Ace Specs and my sis pulled 2 regular ex cards, Full Art Scream Tail ex, and a heliolisk ultra rare. She got wrecked with her ETB. If you want the promo, box and loot I guess it's worth it, but I'd avoid the ETBs. ^^'

If Pokémon distribution does not reach sectors with complete sets, it does not matter that they open a billion packages, no master set will ever be completed🔥 the distribution must be perfect and fair to all sectors..

I've opened up about 100 packs, most of that was 2 booster boxes, and I've pulled 2 SIRs. I can't complain I guess.

Still debating on whether or not I’m going to buy some T.M. for my kid. These sets get released faster than I’d like.

Welcome back emo Danny. I have a hunch that because of batched printouts and batched distributions, and because we have to assume that they don’t randomize or shuffle the lots that they pull from when filling orders from warehouses, you could expect to see pockets within regions that have super low pull rates of a specific card, or super high rates of one. Example my DOZENS of gosh darn drampa and roaring moon holos all pulled from my local big box’s single sleeeved boosters

Yep, that started around 2016 btw. Wasn’t an issue before that as you could master most sets within 2-3 cases. WoTC even easier in only 1-3 boxes. Once the sets started becoming bloated in mid S&M, it basically became an issue of people being able to master too easily when TPCI wanting to move away from that to also facilitate the namesake of the hobby… trading; so batching was introduced. I know that for a fact but even someone who didn’t can easily see this with people like CTR and Rev living in the same area and getting almost exactly the same pulls, while Vault is having a completely different experience on the west coast. It’s all there for anyone to piece together quite easily.

I like the pull rates to be not really easy but not this bad.😊

I dont like TM one bit. But I do love the numbers. CZ as an example I have opened over 6000 packs. The pull rates are "easy". I have many less than 10 PSA 10s each of all the top 10 cards and my eye is about a 73% psa 10s.

45x packs pulled 2x greninja ex illustrator rare, 1x Kieran illustrator rare and 1x eevee illustration rare got super lucky

Just a small error on your spreadsheet, Danny. You have 22 IRs listed and this set only has 21. The Swablu is the extra one. Always love these data videos though!

You might have counted Sunflora twice in the Illustration Rare category since the first time it appears as Swablu.
