Oh gosh, I just got a 2 am conspiracy theory, and... idk... maybe I'm way off, but this seems connected. I have no idea if anyone has had a theory like this before, so I might be late on this. Also, I don't know who else to tell this to, lol, I'm sorry. I was watching tøp's 2016 iheartradio performance, and during Car Radio I started thinking about how different it is played live compared to 2010-2014. Around 2015 I guess, Tyler stopped doing the scream on the next to last "and now I just sit in silence" and started doing the raising pitch thing. He also at some point stopped spontaneously climbing, and instead they added their own tower to climb. I was thinking about how I prefer the way they used to do car radio over now, and started comparing these things. I thought how at some point it's like they stopped using it for a breakdown and started portraying it as more of a spectacle, and the word "spectacle" stuck out to me. I realized what else they talk about as being a spectacle and a display. I'm sure they not only had an increase in budget to pay for things so they're buying more things, because if they still wanted to have it like a breakdown or whatever like they used to, I'm sure they would. There's gotta be a reason. I can't help but wonder if this is supposed to be a metaphorical... I don't even want to say it (;-;). But, I mean, if you think about it, it's like, maybe the silence gets the best of him, or almost does, and he's on display for everyone to see. He could fall, or he could pull the steering wheel. Furthermore, he's on a tower, sitting in silence. Like a tower of silence, where only skeleton bones remain. That was something specifically I'd never put together, but makes way too much sense to me. ;-; Idk. Maybe it's just too late and I'm just tired, but it made me tear up and scared me for a few minutes. Also, maybe I'm late on this connection, idk. Oh, and thanks for posting this video. :)
