I remember when I was extremely suicidal. The line "tie a noose around your mind loose enough to breathe fine and tie to a tree tell it you belong to me this aint a noose this is a leash and you belong to me" was what I used to save myself from me. Really, thank you guys so much. You didn't cure my depression, no, but you helped me reach graduation. Thank you so much. Edit: 5 years later, I'm doing ok. Got into drugs, got outta drugs, went to a mental hospital, but I'm doing good. Weird to think back to how much twenty one pilots impacted me when I don't listen to them anymore. Crazy.

Yeah man holiday's are fucking tough; rather the loss(es) of loved ones, or just broken families that have given up on each other. I was a drug addict for a long time but it's songs like this that remind you that we all will have to go through some tough shit.. you, myself, just about everything. I'm listening to this at 19, with a genuine love for myself and belief that I deserve to exist and be seen for who I am. Chloe Bease Not really. Some people really did feel lost and they were probably going to take their lives but then they might have stumbled upon this band. And a lot of people are helped by music and they can hide behind it as a barrier. Music helps a lot of depressed people, or just anybody, not only depressed people. And their lyrics could have saved somebody's life. And I know they saved mine, don't try to make me think otherwise because I was really falling at that point in time, and if I hadn't found twenty one pilots, I would have kept going down and feeling worse, and I might have just ended up killing myself tbh.

No, you need to give yourself more credit. Music can encourage you, uplift you, and help you, but Tyler Joseph isn't your savior. He is just a person and you resonated with his emotions. He encouraged you to help yourself and I completely agree.
