    Yet they still don’t bother to put up the times for all the athletes. Michael Johnson said years ago that athletics is still being marketed as if it was an amateur sport. The way the IAAF markets it’s product fails in the most basics of concepts that it’s honestly quite impressive, especially for the 21st century. There is so much more that athletics could offer technologically to try and engage the audience more yet athletics has remained stagnant as if we are still in the 1970’s. Shows you that the people running the show are clueless.

    I’m a fan of all athletes in track and field. The fans need to now how to have a friendly competition like the athletes. Let not forget Carmelita Jeter & Shelly Ann always paid respect to one another even after jeter retire.

    TT did what I expected from here, here. But what’s really impressing me, is, it looks like Hobbs is recovering and getting her speed back! Even with that poor start, she was coming on like a freight train in the end. This is the year she gets back in the game!

    @@tsmith9063 I know what you’re saying, but Hobbs actually came on like a freight train and almost caught TT. TT has insane top speed and strength, and Hobbs has been known historically for this, but hasn’t been showing much top speed since injury. She’s back…I assure you. The last couple years, she couldn’t even break 11 seconds, and got down to low 10.9’s last year tops. This year, she’s showing faster and faster times. Her speed is coming back.

    I wonder when they'll put huge cushions at the end of the 100 meters? Athletes phycologically slow down towards the end, especially on the outside lanes due to fear of running into something with the curve etc. This has always been something the need to fix to ensure safety and faster times.

    @@boricuaalma2176 It is a fast time yes. However, if you are track and field person, you will understand the concept of tailwind vs headwind. There's a reason why the legal wind limit for all the running events goes up to a maximum of 2.0 m/s. Hence, why even though Terry ran that time, it won't be recognized as one of her accomplishments.

    That's a great time, but hopefully she can maintain composure and do this when she's next to Elaine Thompson, Shelly-Ann, Ta Lou, Asher Smith, Del Ponte, Schippers...etc. Remember Sha'Carri? Talent and speed doesn't matter if your gonna freeze at the big leagues.

She STILL has an Olympic gold medal unlike any of these athletes she ran with. She also is a better 60m runner than them and her season has JUST started. She'll get faster as the year progresses.

    @@albertmaraj 15 yr old win bronze at 🌎 championship and 19 yr win gold at Olympic in individual event so the both younger than her and B is 20.she is better 60 m and didn't win a a medal indoor ,all she better in is to help in the relay.     @@playfultoy She's 20 and still got an Olympic gold medal. Doesn't matter if it was relays. Also, the level of competition in the 100m and 60m is WAY higher than most other events. We literally have women running sub 7s and sub 10.7s. Brianna will get better and win medals on HER time and not yours. You're here comparing a 20 year old who's just began to a man who had decades to medal and it's not making sense.
