TVS NTorq 125 Race Edition BS6 | Still Sporty & Sensible? | ZigWheels.com

The TVS NTorq 125 has been one of our favourites in the Indian scooter space. It is fun, youthful and energetic but without compromising on the practical stuff. The NTorq 125 received its BS6 updates a couple of months ago. Prices for the BS6 model have been increased overtime as the prices for the NTorq 125 BS6 start from Rs 67,885 and the range topping Race Edition bears a sticker price of Rs 74,365; all prices ex-showroom Delhi.
The NTorq 125 BS6 is still powered by the same 124.8cc single-cylinder 3-valve air-cooled engine. Despite meeting BS6, the engine output remains the same at 9.38PS and 10.5Nm. The scooter has gained 1.9kg in the process and is capable of packing 0.8-litres of fuel extra on board. Underpinnings remain the same as the BS4 scooter with the underbone frame suspended by a telescopic fork and preload adjustable monoshock. 12-inch diamond cut alloys come wrapped in grippy TVS Remora rubber. You can continue to choose between a 130mm drum or a 220mm disc brake at the front. A 130mm drum brake at the rear and Synchronised Braking Technology (TVS lingo for CBS) are constant on all variants.

@@souravbhowmik9572 just ride it in economy mode and don't rev the throttle hard ride gently and u'll get 40+kmpl mileage.
I'm happy I got my Bs4 Ntorq(disc) for just 72k (on-road Goa), value for money.

This is complete scoter with looks and performance 👍
What it needed was a combination lock to unlock the seat and fuel filler from the key slot. Plus it's the heaviest scooter in segment, heavier than even some 125cc bikes.

I have the bs4 race edition and i use to tune it myself accordingly for performance or milage. I even got max milage of 49-50kmph in eco mode after tunning the air oil mixture screw 🔥

I can agree on the fact that it can give uptill 56 because i use bs4 ntorq and i've got 51.7 in city when riding economically, which i have never expected. So what i have to say is it can do both excitement riding as well as economical riding, which depends on you. Proud owner of NTORQ❤

@@souravbhowmik9572 bro it wil decrease a little bit because the economy speed is around 45 but if you ride it at 35 or 40 there will not be a massive difference but try to maintain a constant pace dont acclerate way too much or unnecessarily it will affect the mileage.🙂

Nice presentation style👍. Appreciate the humour with your colleague. Talking about the scooter, there is nothing that justifies the 'race edition' tag and price hike. Lastly, for safety purpose, would like to see dual lid petrol cap on this scooter, just like the Hondas.

Any honest mileage reviews of ntorq race edition here? Does it really suffers from rattling sound of body parts?
Bought the normal red colored BS4 version for 77k on road only back in 2018..... can't believe that the on road prices have gone above 1 lakh now The halogens lights were the best lights i have ever used, these LED's are just for looks

Yes.. better throw in halogens...can also be improved with slight upgrade..not possible with LEDs

Comparing the disk variants... there is a price increase of almost 8k to 10k, amd that's too much. Btw, proud bs4 disk owner ❤️🔥

There should be no confusion, n torq is best in looks, performance and handling due to its bigger tyres and 12 inch rear rear wheel. It is not for only young people but all age group and ladies also. I think n torq is three steps ahead of activa because of tyre size (which improves handling) , features and design.

irony at best, race edition is heavier. joking aside i own a bs4 chevy led lamp edition and once in few of my trips i managed to do the test of 1 liter of exact petrol and driving at 50kmph and managed 55kms. which is around the distance of my home in vapi to dahanu toll post 60km-5km exact . and at high speed/ full throttle like around 70-95kms i managed 50-48kms. and the sound is just amazing. its a fun scooter in that. and the smoothness of engine is good that it does not feel vibrating at speed like 80-95 kms. this is the best scooter in my opinion compared to the bikes i drove of 125 glamour and 110 victor.

You'll be surprised to know that we are to buy this scooter with almost 3 times more price than India in BD. I'm waiting TVS to launch this officially in BD, amazing one!

Every con of ntorq vanishes when you enter into midrange. Above 50kmph is where the engine responds to you. The suspension,the handling, the heart beat(exhaust note) really pushes you forward. Proud owner of ntorq bs4 ❤️

@@souravbhowmik9572 usually my style of riding is slowly i increase throttle when it reaches 45 or 50 kmph i let go of throttle. Iam not an aggressive rider and when iam on open long roads i will rip it a lil bit.

access engine is supreme but built quality of some parts is very cheap tvs have rattling problem after 15000kms in ntorq if quality is 1st preference then activa 125 is best but it performs like 110cc scooter no power after 80kmph

I would prefer Burghman or even Vespa. No one can beat Vespa's handling thanks to its Monocoque chassis. I feel Vespa is underrated.
