Personally I think Jodie Whittaker could of been great but it was the writers who let her down. David Tennant (And Donna) are brilliant!

His so geeky and its adorable, I can listen to him all day ❤😊

I absolutely LOVE these videos, where I can pay attention or zone out and still be entertained, AND its an hour and a half long.

With Peter Capaldi's doctor, the main part of his life was to show the development and progress he had a a person and how he was influenced by Clara and Bill and when you look back in hindsight it really shows how far he came from the beginning of series 8 to the end of series 10. Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi are probably my favorite doctors based on their personalities but for storylines it definitely it David Tennant as he has some brilliant stories and great development of them. Donna is one of my favorite companions as you really can see how her mums views have affected her over her life, and this led her to feeling like she was useless. Hence one of the best part about Donna being that when she finally realized she was brilliant you really got to see her flourish as a person and that can really be seen from the change in her character in the runaway bride to partners in crime in series 4. Overall I do have to agree with season 6 being one of the best even though of the complicity, the way the story unfolds is really good to watch and is a real mind bender when everything finally comes together in the wedding of River Song.

Capaldi is the GOAT and my Doctor forever. 💙💙 Companion wise, Martha Jones is my favourite. Clara and Bill are runner-ups. Series 3, 7B, 10, and 13 are the best I've seen, Series 1 is a favourite to revisit.

The timing of this video is crazy. I just started watching Doctor Who (2005) about a week and a half ago and I’m absolutely hooked. I’m only on Season 3, so I’ve only seen Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant as the doctor, but I think I prefer Tennant so far. I’m excited to see Matt Smith as the doctor since I really liked him in House of the Dragon.

DUDE! those stranger things VHS covers are so sick omg! thats exactly why its such a good show, cuz it captures the vibes of the 80s and the nostalgia that older folks (my parents) have with younger people (me) who admire the decade and the iconic movies sm! also im so glad to hear that azulas ur fav character because same here! shes such a cool villian, her fire is so sick, but shes also so so complex. the way that she is literally zuko (at least somewhat) but w/o all the support of friends and family is just beautiful storytelling and characterization.

A man of true class, culture and taste. We are quite literally the same person. Psych is my favorite show of all time, and office space in season 6 I think, is probably the funniest episode of any show I have ever seen.

Would anyone else like an in-depth review of each series... Because I would love it. Also gonna throw in Babylon 5. First season is a little sketchy and has a fair amount of standalone episodes, but leaves a lot of breadcrumbs for the upcoming seasons. It's a 5 year story arc, where the story has a clear beginning, middle and an end. I think it's magnificent.

I’m a massive Doctor Who fan but I have a hard time picking favorites. Out of the new era, I think I’d have to say Peter Capaldi, but Christopher Eccleston gives him a run for his money in his short tenure. Sylvester McCoy would have to be my favorite classic era Doctor but I think I would’ve also loved Paul McGann if he was given more than a movie. Some of his Big Finish audio dramas are spectacular

honestly game of thrones started going down in season 5 and never recovered imo. dare i say even season 4 didnt do as well as the previous seasons, like the dialogues weren't hitting as good as they did before, which to me that was the heart of game of thrones, the character interactions. i still liked the 4th season but it felt like something was missing. nice collection tho, thanks for sharing

I love how you know which season has which part cause I cannot remember which scenes are in which season I remember the main timeline but cannot tell you the precise season a scene is in haha ! Parker please tell me you are watching the new doctor who with David and Cathrine 😏 I agree with the writing sadly it did go down hill but now RTD is back and the show has completely restarted from season 1. I believe there is also a UNIT spin off in the makes too. If you’ve not already it would also suggest checking out - The Sarah Jane adventures -Torchwood -Class All doctor who spin offs worth checking out if you haven’t already. Sarah Jane adventures was probably the best of all 3.

Thank you for calling out Season 8 of GOT and being honest about how disappointing it was. Shortly after it aired, I ended up in a conversation with a woman who tried to defend season 8 and she actually thought their decisions were good. I was so upset with her that I couldn’t even find the right words to tell her how very wrong she was

Unpopular opinion: Stranger things has no reason to exist after season 1, they could have easily ended the show there and made it a limited series. It's near perfect TV and it went downward ever since.

Didn't expect to see anime here! As an anime fan, I'll talk about anime. I too am waiting for so long for OPM S3. I agree with you abt AOT; for me first 3 seasons were flawless. I guess with the studio change and the storyline change was being felt more on anime cus in the manga, the shift was predictable. With Death Note, I lost interest a bit after L's death but I finished it nonetheless. Great collection, I'd check out the western shows ❤

Sorry I'm late!!! I was originally considering making a letterboxd to follow Parker, but having watched this now I'm afraid he'll judge me for my taste in shows 😅 Some thoughts by show, because he said he wanted people's thoughts! Game of Thrones: I have avoided it because I'm afraid I will waste my time watching it, knowing the absolutely bananas things they do in the final season. If other people have thoughts and want to tell me otherwise I'll give it a shot, but I'm worried I'll spend the whole time with the last season looming over me. Breaking Bad: I've never seen THIS show because I tend to watch shows with other people, and I don't think anyone I'm close with has been into it, so I've never had the opportunity. I'll be on the lookout though, Parker spoke so highly of it. Walking Dead: I'm learning Parker and I have like no TV in common, I'm sorry Parker 🙃I've also never seen this one, because I am afraid of zombies. I love horror movies, but specifically zombies I tend to avoid. It is also so long, and I'm not good at making that much of a time commitment unless someone I know is already watching it. Doctor Who: My experience with Doctor Who is exclusively terrifying. I watched it in middle school because my sister was going back through the show, but the only episodes she showed me were Satan Pit, New Earth, and Blink. So I think she was trying to scare me out of watching it with her or something, but I've never had the bravery to go back. I've heard great things though. The Office: I like the office! I watched the first five seasons a while ago with a friend! It isn't my favorite comedy (I'm more of a Community and Parks & Rec person) but I enjoyed it and respect what it did for the genre in the 2000s and early 2010's. I don't think we would've gotten nearly as many good half hour sitcoms without it. Stranger Things: I really want to watch this one, because I'm a big sci-fi/horror person, and I love 80s music, which I've been told the series delivers in spades, but I (once again) have had no one to watch it with. Someday. Castlevania: I will take this recommendation! I love horror and I love animation, so this one might be the closest I come to common ground with Parker. I'm so sorry Parker. Avatar: The best animated show ever made, in my opinion. One of the best shows ever. Every time I need to make a new friend, I propose rewatching this show together. The characters are all likable but complex and realistic. The plot feels natural without being predictable. And so many incredible episodes. My favorite season is either the second or the third; I think the second is overall better on average, but I think Fire has some real heavy hitters (The Puppetmaster, Boiling Rock, Ember Island Players, etc.) I also doubt the remake will be good. I somehow doubt that they will successfully convert a 20 episode animated season into an 8 episode live action season, especially considering that the showrunners' departure from the project. Also my car is named Appa because it's big, white, and reliable. Korra: I have been too nervous to start this show. I love the original so much, I worry that watching it and seeing characters from the original series will lessen my opinion of the original. One Punch Man: I've never seen, but I will say Deku is imo the most annoying part of My Hero if that changes your mind about watching it. I didn't find it amazing but I did enjoy the first 3 seasons - I got distracted and haven't continued since, so tbd on if I like the later seasons. Attack On Titan: Your issues with season 4 are what I refer to as "plot salad". I have seen the first season - I think it might honestly be too bleak for me to enjoy, but major respect for the writing and the show, my sister adores it and has seen it like 5 times through. Death Note: I apologize, I had to skip this section: I LOVE Death Note but have not finished it. I have started it 4 separate times with different people and can never get someone to finish it with me, so I'm still trying to avoid spoilers like an idiot. Brilliantly written, perhaps my second favorite animated show (it might also be Gravity Falls.) Psych, The Mentalist, and Monk: I'm not going to lie, I have never heard of these shows, but I will check them out now! Spongebob: I loved Spongebob as a kid, I don't think people appreciate how much love went into the humor of that show. Also for a show that's mostly doing like 11 minute half-episodes, they do a whole lot of world building which is impressive. I'm also curious why it's a no no if you're homeschooled. Fantastic Mr. Fox: I love Wes Anderson, I love animation, and I LOVE this movie. It's so funny and heartwarming; it feels like a fairytale. I'm so glad Parker likes it - I wonder if he has seen/has an opinion on Isle of Dogs, which admittedly I didn't like as much but maybe he'll get more mileage out of it than I did. Wow this was long. But it was fun to do while taking a break from work. Thank you for sharing Parker, it was a super fun video! I always appreciate your longer form stuff. if y'all wanted to make more videos with your collection you could definitely do like a retro blockbuster roleplay! Also hearing y'all talk about the filmmaking in your favorite shows makes me understand better why y'all put so much effort into your videos. And no need to apologize for taking a break from posting!! I hope everyone is well and you're having a great holiday season 🎄!!! ~~~Bonus Max Round~~~ Batman the Animated Series: I was planning on watching this over winter break with my sister! (Third sheep here) don’t be afraid of getting a Letterboxd I love that everyone has their own opinion on things! I have actually gotten excited when Max and Carson disagree with my opinion of a movie we watched together. It makes everyone unique. I highly recommend Game of thrones although if terrible endings and bad seasons can ruin your opinion of the good parts don’t watch it. But if you want to just stop at the seventh season that’s what my brother did and he is fine with it :) me personally the bad ending doesn’t ruin the good of the show for me. Breaking bad is the bomb ngl. Also better call Saul too! Highly recommend! I think I’ve actually watch the first three seasons of my hero academia but I don’t remember much about it I kinda just lost interest after. I think one punch man is just the better version of it. I have seen Isle of Dogs and I personally was really disappointed by it. Fantastic Mr. Fox set my expectations really high tho. I actually did a whole video of going through my blu ray movie collection on this channel and I went over my disappointment in that video lol

i know peter capaldi s run wasn t the best ,but heaven sent is one of the best episodes which proves his potential.

Finally. Someone that sees fault in Attack on Titan. I'm also in the minority and people seem to have an issue whenever I express it's not one of my favorites. Don't get me wrong, I quite enjoyed many of the episodes and thought the voice acting was great, but the story... is all over the place. And, eventually, so are the characters. I only finished the manga because I'd already given it so many years of my life, so figured I owed it to past me lol I DO understand why so many people love it, though. It's just not for me. 🤷‍♀

What an awesome collection Parker! I'm amazed each time. Fantasic ASMR as usual. About Attack on Titan S4, I completely understand your frustration and how stuff did not make sense at all. I think they completely butchered the manga after season 2 lol. They removed so many little details and establishing elements(like Mikasa's tattoo) from the first manga arcs, maybe because they thought it didn't add anything to the story at the time. They also changed scenes, a bit of the timeline and dialogue and even some characterizations. A lot of the characters feel flat and one-dimentional in the adaptation imo, and I feel like a lot of the dialogue didn't end up translating well into the anime, Idk why. But then again the original author's humor is pretty weird sometimes lol, so maybe that's why. I'm a pure manga fan although I watched S1 of the anime first, but man do I dislike the anime haha. I also feel like they tried to give it the "anime" fanservicy treatment at some points despite the serious tones, which is probably why some scenes felt kinda weird and out of place. Edit: Also, I got a big smile on my face when I saw Monk! Brings back so many memories. Such a good show tbh. Clever and engaging without trying too hard.

i still can't believe they rubbed our faces on "winter is coming" for 10 yrs only to have ONE episode dedicated to it that's so dark we couldn't even see what was happening! so yeah i'm with you there parker! and yes better call saul is amazing! breaking bad was too stressful for me so i like better call saul way better. do a lot of people still watch twd? i tapped out when glen died...it's crazy to think how big the show was. like we used to talk about it in school.

(Third sheep here) yeah that’s exactly where I stopped. It really ticked me off that they faked his death like 5 episodes before he actually died. It was really dumb. And then not showing who died at the end of the season I felt like it lost all its momentum and tension with the next season.

As somebody who thinks that AOT is overhyped, I would still suggest finishing out season four, or at least like reading a synopsis of it. I think the series as a whole is good, but very far from the masterpiece that most people make it out to be. Based on some of the things you mentioned, specifically regarding Eren, I think you’d be interested in seeing how everything play out. Like a lot of other people have commented here, there’s a lot of things that get explained - whether it makes sense or not or is good writing is up to you though… 🤷‍♂️

Sad to see that you don’t have Vikings maybe you have seen it but if u didn’t than you should really watch it it’s amazing truly underrated!

Have you ever thought about doing the 1001 movie book challenge a go? It’s a hefty challenge mind haha.

Orphan Black is amazing! Tatiana Maslany is magnificent at playing Sarah and all the clones. Every clone is completely different, it really shows her range of character. Yellowjackets is great too…I can’t wait to see what happens next

I love Korra and ATLA, so I really can't say that one is better than the other. Like, they've both got strong points and some things from each show I prefer more than the other, but comparing two stories that are so different to see which is better is just impossible lol. Also, I love Azula! She's also my favorite and she's definitely one of the best characters from the entire avatar universe (imo). The comics are awful though, but if you enjoyed reading them then I'm not here to judge lol. The only thing I took away from them was the continued worldbuilding and lore, everything else could light up in flames and I don't think I would care 💀

I was a little disappointed in the ending of GOT as well. Fun fact: The Office's Dwight Shrute influenced Dothraki

Yes, Max 😂 I’ve been waiting for you on this video like a good girl 👱🏻‍♀️ patiently listening to Parker’s collection but felt asleep 🙏🏽🤣🙊 and I had do rewind for the moment I missed including your lovely incursion 😝 So I’m probably one of those crazy people left on earth that never seen Games of Thrones…yes, we exist 👀🤣 but I think it’s a sign I have to watch it eventually)) Personally I’m a fan of Matrix (all movies), John Wick (absolutely AMAZING bad guy ever after Joker 🤭😄) and any series with Harley Quinn 🤪 I absolutely love her and I hope Folie à Deux will be good one or they will **ck up as the movie industries usually do, as they destroyed Star Wars etc we’ll see 🤷🏼‍♀️🧐 I definitely have more movies and tv series that I love, but I can’t remember them all now) for sure it’s Twilight, Harry Potter, and smth else…! 💋
