I remember Java playing carnival around 1982 Smiley Culture and Asher Senator tore up the place. I've been going Nottinghill carnival since the mid 70's and that carnival reggae sound system is probably the best in my opinion

I have to give thanks to the pirate stations I grew up listening to in the 80s and 90s. They musically educated me big time. You had two or more stations that broadcast across the whole of London, not just your local area. Wicked times.🇯🇲🇬🇧🇯🇲🇬🇧🇯🇲🇬🇧🇯🇲
