TV Display Materials in Cinema 4D + Redshift | Tutorial

Фильм және анимация

Hey Everyone, HKA here with a new tutorial on Display or TV-like looking shaders. We will use the PNG sequence like a video in our texture node and mix it with another texture to create our desired outcome.
I would like to thank you all for liking my content and subscribing to my channel. It was the 13th of January when I was 130 subs while today I am over 400 subs. Love it.

Great tutorial! Btw how to calculate the UV Revamp (scale & offset)?

What I found out works best is to really make plane the exact size of your animations. Lets say 1920x1080 video would ho onto plane of the exact same size and you dont need any UV. You can then scale the plane proportionaly to make It a size of your TV display. Hope that helps 🙌

where did you get your scale and offset values? You just put some numbers in there without any explanation.

I did record this when I had no idea you could actually make the plane the size of your content resolution. I want to do new video for this. So lets say you have video of 1920x1080 you could create a plane 1920x1080 and then scale It in proportion to your scene and there is no need for offset and scale as texture will automatically work for it straight away

@@StepanHKA my pngs are 1920x1080, but I'm having issue with the mapping. It looks fine in the viewport but in the render view the scale and offset are off

i watched this hoping somebody will explain how to make the display emitte light into the scene like how a tv really does in a dark scene without looking so blown out. the texture you loaded didnt look like it was emitting any light. barely
