It almost feels weird coming back to this over ten years later. I practically grew up watching these. And living them with my own cats. One thing I can say about Simon, as my dad puts it, "He gets cats."

Having been a dog person these many years I became a cat owner through my daughter. From our initial two who were rescues to our little family of 6 ( rescues) it has been interesting times. Cats are not the aloof creatures i always supposed them them to be but can be very affectionate and mischievous and I love each one dearly as much as I loved my two Labradors who have long since met their maker. They are milling around my feet waiting to be fed now so best wishes to all you people owned by cats out there HA HA !

I love how cats seem to think your sole purpose for living is for them, and only them. I have a cat who gets mad if I don't drop everything and tend to his needs if he wants food or attention. And if I give attention to my dog, my cat gives me this death stare, like I just violated some sacred rule. Despite my kitty's obnoxious attitude, I love him and will always be there for him... even when he breaks my stuff.

wow, ten years (actually over 10 years now)....Ten years I've been enjoying Simon's Cat in all his glory. Thank you all for the laughs and smiles.

I adore these cartoons. So realisitic. Our cat Jacob used to deliberately knock things off the bedroom dresser, rattle the window blinds, lick your eyelids--all kinds of stuff to get us to awaken and feed him in the morning. We miss him--bone cancer. We have two new cats now and love them both. But they will never replace our Jacob--he was indeed one of a kind beatutiful cat.

Does anybody elses cat circle the bed like a shark when they want something? I always feel like I'm in the middle of a scene from Jaws whenever my cat wants my attention.

Blood Torcher IIf they are marking their territory places, that means they ahve a false sense of security and are saying "THIS IS MINE, MINE, NO BODY ELSES!". Perhaps getting them a cat tree near a window will help them, so they feel like they really own the room.
