Hi Elizabeth, first I'd like to inform that your videos are very helpful and informative and do appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience with the masses. Next, needed to ask if a person hired an attorney to file the application and the application now has a status of "Notice of Allowance" where now you have 6 months to file the Statement of Use. If you wanted to file your own statement of use to save in cost, how should you handle the attorney that's representing you. Should you just send a notice of termination of services and then ask the attorney to have the address on record changed to your address, thanks

Yes you can just email the lawyer about it but then file the paperwork yourself (you don't know how long it will take the lawyer to do it, if they will do it at all)

Hello, Elizabeth, Great video it cleared up a few things for me. However, what if you haven’t began to operate the business as of yet are you able to still file for the SOU? If so as an e-commerce, is a picture of the item enough to file? And does the picture have to be a jpeg also? And if the trademark is on abandonment can a SOU be filed rather than the extension?

Sometimes that can work -- really depends on the exact circumstances

Q: If the 'Owner' of the trademark is my CA LLC, would I check the box under the 'Domicile Address' section (meaning my business address and domicile are the same for the owner, which would be the LLC)? Or would I uncheck it and add my personal home address along with my name & title as principal of the LLC? Also, there was another box inside this section, "Check this box ONLY if the owner is a juristic entity (eg LLC)" - would I also check that box? Thx!

The domicile must be a real street address. So if the LLC has an office where you work, put that. But if there is no location, you put your personal home address and check the box with the "juristic entity" and it will give you a place to insert your name

Can I Trademark a black and white version of my image and use a color image in some places? Or do I have to Trademark the color and black and white versions? And can the colors change? Like if I have a Trademark on a black and white logo but use it on a rubber stamp with red ink, or print stickers with different colors in the foreground and background?

You can trademark a b&w version as a trademark that does not claim color as part of the trademark. Then you can use various colors in the future.

Hi , I have the t shirt company printing out my first trademark on a shirt , but they’re taking a while my SOU is do on August 6. I’m kinda stressing on the short time I have, if I get my shirts come in by the 22nd of this month, do you think I’ll have enough time to file the SOU on time?

Probably since it is based on when you file. You can also apply for a 6-month extension but that costs a bit of $

Elizabeth, I am rebuilding my very complicated website, will it matter if construction if ongoing and I submit my website with the logo on it? Should the website be completely finished, will it matter, I decided to rebuild it, thank you for your opinion.

It is okay if you change the website, but the logo/trademark must match *exactly*

You SERIOUSLY go way too fast and skip over things. You need to make this better. At 8:00 you just go past the top of the page without explaiingin why you are skipping that. SOOOO ANOYING!!!!
