Thank you for making this video. Will resetting the device cause the loss of previous firmware updates?

It will only reset the data that you entered your self, it will not delete or reset any Firmware or Map updates.

Hello, I have a Garmin nuvi 710. It is locked with a PIN code. Can the GPS be reset to be deleted?

If the GPS is locked you have 4 ways to unlock it. First way is to find the PIN code and enter it. Second way is to go to the exact geographic spot where the pin code was set, and it will automatically unlock. Third choice is to send it to Garmin along with your proof of purchase and they will unlock it for you for a fee. How to change map back to USA on Nuvi 1390, did an update and it loaded Canada and won’t give option for USA it’s in white now.

Hi, click on Tools, Settings, Map then click on Info at the bottom of the screen. Now un-check the foreign maps and only check the North American map.

@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 Hello thanks for responding, The problem was without a micro sd card the Nuvi 1390 doesn’t have the memory to store a 5gb USA + Canada maps. Garmin express doesn’t give any other option to upload different maps for me. Texting back and forth with technical support, told me to buy a newer version or upgrade to a 8gb micro sd card or higher but NOT a 32gb it won’t support it. So I deleted a 8GB micro sd card I had and insert it into the Garmin Nuvi 1390 upload the new 2022 Maps plus did your uploaded link, worked great today. I do like the new map layout has much less errors, like exiting the freeway just to get back on the freeway again. Interstate 15 south has a problem going to San Diego.

@@peckerpeter2078 Oh Ok, I thought you had a card and still couldn't see the maps. The steps that I mentioned can turn a map file ON, or OFF so that it doesn't slow the GPS memory by loading unnecessary maps that you don't use. For example, you can use it to Turn OFF the European maps if you have it on your Garmin.

Please use GarminWebUpdater.exe and you can reinstall all the missing voices.

@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 boa noite... obrigado funcionou 100% porém os ícones não voltaram, fui a garage Garmin e consegui baixar alguns porém não há o ícone do caminhão junto ao trailer ... Tentei achar na internet o arquivo e não obtive sucesso .
