TUTORIAL Elvis Pompadour: WORLD'S MOST FAMOUS HAIRCUT
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
When we started Schorem our business plan came down to this line: “Would Elvis Aaron Presley come in for a haircut..?” We build our whole shop as a tribute to The King and his perfect manes... Now, I’m not arrogant enough to say I’m skilled enough to recreate that iconic cut, BUT I SURE AS HELL TRY!!! Elvis, Brian Setzer, James Dean, Herman Brood were just a few of the ( Anti ) heroes that got me started doing haircuts but nothing has changed since the day I picked up my clippers, my life’s devoted to the quest for the perfect Pompadour..
I love working with clippers, The Holy Ashtray IS a barbershop after all and I truly, truly believe the magic isn’t in the hand that holds the tool in hat takes the hair off, I believe in the hand that holds the tool that guides that hand... Don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE to our channel and turn on the notifications so you’ll be the first one watching when we’ve uploaded another video in the very near future. Take care. Enjoy your day!

Is it the cuts or the barbers? The same styles still exist, just no good barbers to cut them. Back in the day, everyone wore these styles so any good barber knew how to achieve the look. Too much “Super Cuts” and crap places like that these days.

I never got the fuss around fades and short or bald hair in general horrible modern styles they make men look like they have stripped of there individuality
@xXcangjieXx

I think the main problem with modern cuts is that the sides are often too short. If you look at vintage pictures of hairstyles popular today (pomps, side parts etc) you can clearly see that the sides are way longer, sometimes as long as the hair on top.
@dunnotck1

Also I might be wrong but a lot of men nowadays seem to bald super young. Maybe in the 50's they didn't bald so young thus had more time to try cool hairstyles?
He had perfect hair for this and you can tell you really know your stuff. Your use of this technique and your signature on the cut is first class.

The Pompadour really suits this fellow. He's got the thick full head of hair and the cool good looks. Very striking.

I have been a barber for 12 years and never get bored of trying to learn new techniques, this guy is a very good barber, he can adapt to cut many different styles and isn’t just all about fades, I love watching him work and have learnt a lot 👍
Nice job, Robert. These videos will legitimate the names of the haircuts. Here in Brazil, some dudes misundestand the pompadour with a common quiff of an another haircut, for an example. Great job with the size of the last videos too, because are too many people that cheats newbie barbers, selling courses and techniques to them without any level of true knowledge of barbering or teaching. The "free" lessons from your videos will elevate the level of barbers around the world, leaving less space for these scammers. That is a great contribuition for the world barber comunnity.

@@REUZEL Thats really true! Well... One year after you had up that video and the words of Marco Lopes still are truth. I watched your video just by the side of my father in law, he is from 40s decade, and he said all the time "that's the way we used to cut hair in my time... just seeing him, I do can tell: he knows how to cut! He rocks!" and he was not just talking about the hairstyle but talking about you Robert your technique, and I recognize this. Look, I studying to enter this world and I believe the old school it's able to "teach" me a lot... hahaha Thanks a lot for your contribution.

Good to see barbers that still know how to use scissors!

Never ever in my life a saw a barber with such a passion for his job! I just enjoy watching you doing haircuts. I‘ve also tried to mix pink and green, it‘s a great combination! Unfortunately my cut doesn‘t allow a pomp straight back, always wearing a pomp with a side part. I hope I can visit your shop anytime!
Excellent video. Thanks for your posting and sharing your knowledge.
Spectacular cut on a fantastic head of hair.
I love it and admired all your work. Salute from Puerto Rico. I hope you to come to a barber convention.
Mate I've watch alot of cuts, and this is by far my favorite! Thankyou for making it. Not only is it very helpful amd insightful, but damn i love that cut. Not to mention the old school combing style at the end haha
On another level with this. Amazing
This gentleman is the most skilled barber I have ever seen. What a superb haircut. The client must be extremely happy.

love the relationship of barber, client and hair Great vid
i love watching “modern” barbers who use techniques like sectioning. prefer them much to old school barbers
Great!
Thanks man for all u do for our craft👍🏻
Bravo maestro!!!!!!! You are BOSS !! Love your work 😉
I never thought I would watch the full 30 minutes but this is just so inspiring! What a work of art! This is a free online masterclass. Also really cool how you emphasised the importance of using a traditional oil based product. It's really essential to the look and the old school experience. Investing and learning how to use those products, and thereby dismissing the convenience of a washable product can be a struggle but it also builds character and is really satisfying.

I wish I could find someone near to do this cut on me, every salon/barber I've been to never leaves my hair long enough, so styling it becomes a nightmare. :(
Yes! We want barbers who know the arithmetics of sectioning hair, who say they want the customer to look as masculine as possible, and who are doing better pompadours than Elvis ever had! We do not want hair dresser salons, gender-neutral haircuts or hastly done cuts.
