You could, but it would give you a rounded thread profile... that's typically not how threads are cut.

Nice vid but that is not a correct thread, you need to set up the profile correctly and in the correct location before sweeping.

BRUH THE EXTRUDED CUT YOU DID IS PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE. IF YOU DO THAT IN 2018 IT DOESNT CUT THE PERIMETER.

Hexegan should be fully defined, not left blue. Chamfer of a nut should have an angle from 15°-30° not 45°
