Tutorial: Cartoon head in Blender (A to Z)
In this video tutorial I am going to share with you a complete workflow in order to create a "Disney style" head using blender. I am first going to show you how to sculpt the head using a grease pencil sketch. Then I will do a proper re-topology in order to get a clean mesh, that will serve as the final mesh after some refinements. Next I will add some eyelashes, eyebrows and finally stylized hairs using curves. In order to save some time we are going to use the AutoEye addon to quickly bring and setup some eyes. After that, we are going to setup some lights and create some shaders along with the different skin textures. Finally we are going to launch some Eevee and Cycles renders :)

Thank you for making this video! its so detailed and concise about all the steps you use. I really appreciate that you don't assume that we know anything which really helps answer all the small issues that I have faced but never found a solution. :)

Wow....this is just amazing...thank you so much enjoyed every part of it
magnificent ! 5 hours but everything is there! thank you very much for your sharing and your work of goldsmith
I loved this tutorial
Amazing tutorial, thanks so much for going through all the steps thoroughly. I've just finished this tutorial after 10+ hours of work, super happy with the end product. Thanks you legend :D
Loving this tutorial! Very easy to follow and to skip back and forth in the video to get tips for sculpting specific parts! I found a way to do the eyelids that saved me a lot of time and fight. I made a copy of the eyeball and with the knife tool I drew the shape of my eye onto it. I then deleted the inner faces. Next is to put a solidify modifier on it and a subdivision surface modifier to get the thickness and roundness. I cleaned up the topology, applied the modifiers, mirrored to the other side and joined the mesh with my head model. I then used the remesher and cleaned up/sculpted. They perfectly follow the curvature of the eyeball from the get go and have an even thickness. From there you can use the move tool to adjust a little. I hope this had added value for anyone reading this.
You're a godsend. This my friend, was an S tier tutorial. I thank you for the help you have provided me and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Hi! I love how in depth you go with this tutorial! I was wondering if you were planning on making a tutorial on full body modeling in this same style, and possibly how to rig the character for animation? I love the Disney style and I'm want to create my own character. Your tutorial is one of the few complete tutorials modeling in this style, so it would be great to have one for the full body. Great job once again!
Epic! Thanks dude :) Please more tutorials like this one ;) Good luck!
This really needs some more credit, i appreciate your work so much!
Great ! Really great ! Thanks for the sharing ! I learn so much.
Amazing tutorial, thank you.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you times infinity!
Another marvellous tutorial. The retopo was expectedly easier because earlier I had watched your anatomy modelling tutorial. Can you also do some stylized clothes sculpting tutorial for this kind of character in future, please ?
Merci beaucoup pour ce partage !!! Vidéos toujours de qualité !!!
Your underrated chanel was hard to find unfortunatelly, but i'm glad that i found it! Yor tutorials is the best on hole youtube in the way they are covering their themes! Piano and hands, Cartoon head frpm a to z, thank you very much for sharing!!!!
3hrs in, loving the precise instruction on how and why topology is done. I'm getting much more comfortable sculpting and using high poly to achieve results. However, I'm not animating. and I want to. So, this must be learned and doesn't seem too far outside the capabilities of the sculptor to learn.
Thank you so much for your video. I'm a beginner and it helped me a lot! You described all the things I needed step by step and now I have a cartoon head of me. I"m so happy!
what a great work! you have a very precise eye and knowledge about anatomy, visualization. it was very interesting and helpful to watch 6hours of your art. thanks alot!

fantastic thank you!
I'm only halfway through and I'm just amazed at how easy you make it. Luckily, you're just using the same tools over an over so it doesn't seem to difficult in terms of doing it. It's the eye for detail and the experience of knowing how anatomy works that I want to build on in my own skill set. I have to thank you since I'm just getting into blender and this tutorial is very helpful and is making learning blender a bit easier.

ouai mais bon, c'est mieux pr lui de s'exporter à l'international. Deja que la commu blender est pas nn plus enorme, s'il se limite à la commu franco, c'est un peu dommage. Et puis le logiciel est en anglais donc bon..

At 2:02:45 you can combine the smooth vertices with a shrinkwrap modifier to smooth while preserving the volume. Free of charge. Got this info in a previous tutorial I watched today on the matter actually. " _Tips and Tricks for Retopology in Blender_ " From *Daniel Kreuter* here on youtube. On another tutorial I watched I learned something I was searching for quite a while too, you can add an 'offset' to the snapping tool, using the shrinkwrap modifier. Real convenient when you want to preserve volume on a quite low poly retopology.
Awesome awesome awesome. I didn't complete the other tutorial yet but i will open this video on my spare times in order to make you earn more. Thank you very much. ❤ !!!! Thank you brother!

I was looking for something like this! I've been wanting to try and model Annabeth Chase from Percy Jackson in a Disney Style.
this is soo good.. what are you using, a graphic tablet or a display tablet?
Hi thanks for the video, a query, would you recommend studying graphic design to be a 3D animator (also create your own characters, shorts, etc)? I know that in design they teach about color theory and that, would you recommend it? : )
Do u sculpt with table or mouse (srry my English isn't very good) amazing video!
