I’m a full time musician in a leading Pentecostal Church. All what Mr Wesley Maxwell said is true I agree 100% The problem is that many of the musicians are professionals who earn their bread and butter through playing and performing music. The musicians that he is referring to make their living only through music. Churches pay nothing to musicians. The hard ware is expensive the Church doesn’t provide.They don’t have funds and just keep praying. I used to play in hotels/clubs/cruise ships but I’ve left every thing and playing only gospel music full time. So if churches can pay a good sum of money as salary then these musicians can make their bread and butter in the Church. Mr Wesley Maxwel hasn’t answered it in the above mentioned regard.

If the musicians want to earn, they can opt some other options/jobs. If we pay good salary, the people will come from cinema means its totally humbug. Definitely one day they will go back to cinema for good package. We have to serve G_D with wholeheartedly not only for money. If my comment hurts you, really sorry.

Christopher brother this is where we mistake why do we feel so bad to pay good amount of money to the musicians. When it comes to pay we become so holy and we start saying ‘do it free for God’. Get this clear nothing is ever free even in heaven. Your salvation has a cost so does the basic necessities in a misicians family so church should learn to pay what the musician deserves

I had a good respect in him but the explanation he has given is unacceptable. Those who are commenting think practically. Pastor who runs a church asks for funding but they never want to pay out those who help in music ministry. For a person who has taken music as his profession he has the choice to accept the movie genre or what type of documentary and so on. If there is a choice in front of him to commit music direction for an adult movie which will pay him in Lakhs and music album for an upcoming Christian artist whom he knows will not get his payment, what will be the decision? That will determine his stand over his faith. For example a Christian who is a Doctor by profession will attend to every person irrespective of caste, creed or religion but when it comes to abortion as a choice in front of him, what will be the decision? For example a Christian who is an Engineer is called to do a construction and in front of him there is a compromise being done in the materials, what will be the decision? So please think sensibly and stop trying to throw stones and see the writing on the ground.

1. First let the church learn that nothing is for free in this world and learn to extend its hand to pay for the efforts of the musicians. Some people expect musicians to play for free, please don’t do so coz they too have family and each equipment costs so much. 2. Let the church train the so called dedicated musicians so that they produce good quality music for God. Nowadays church musics are so monotonous that even God would be bored to listen to it. Learn from Father Berchmans he gets his songs from the presence of God.. 3. The so called men of God must learn to be polite and they must let God do his work. Now a days there is a misconception that makes preachers and worship leaders to do a lot of bla bla bla during worship, its a request please allow the Holy Spirit of God to move among the people and also on you. Gersson Edinbaro is a good example...

So the worship leaders need to Pay their dedicated Gospel musicians like crazily with high salary more than the cine musicians are paid. Don't give them 1000 or 1500 or maximum 3000 per meeting and send them off. Honor their decision of playing only for Gospel music by paying them well. I pray this happens.

If u people pay them properly, why would they go. Instead of doing videos like this, sit and pray for them so that God can change! Very sad to see a pastor being judgemental. As Jesus says.. those who have not sinned, throw the first stone .. Offer practical solutions for people!

Cinema music is no different from gospel music. Wen music is universal musician are also universal.
