Tuskegee Airmen at Fantasy of Flight - Message for the Young

The Tuskegee Airmen were honored at Fantasy of Flight on February 7th and 8th, 2014. Flight Officer Daniel Keel, Lt. Col. George Hardy and Lt. Col. Charles McGee were there to represent the great Tuskegee group. A large crowd in attendance got the chance to listen to the stories of these three great men, and meet and chat with them too. Children and young adults made up a large portion of the crowd. The Tuskegee Airmen had an important message for them, as they look towards their future.

I'm just now learning about the Tuskegee airmen, and not from school, but from going places like the Internet and reading off of certain websites to search for African American history and are up comings and rises. Which is a shame because I should be getting this taught to me in school ,and instead I have to go out on my own to find it. Also I go to a good school, but no black history is there. Also, I just wanna say to anybody that's in highschool or even middle school, are backgrounds were more than slavery , and struggle . It was triumph and artistic explosions of our cultures and customs.,for example, the Harlem Renaissance. So I tell you to search ,and find out what more opportunities African Americans or Africans gave themselves, and how they took charge to change the world for their kind and how our community came together to stand with each other, for example, the black panthers. I just hope that you listen to me and try to find all are true history and greatness we made.
