Thanks for a good Billy Gibbons video lesson. Your creativity on the tune is fun, goes with Billy's style and it made me pick up my Strat to add your licks to my ZZ Top routine.
I am impressed an old guy playing for 66 years. You do it right. Just straight up good lessons and no show off attitude. Tally hi lad.

@@Hpcrazy All of the criticism about you playing it differently than Billy Gibbons, I don't think they realize how big Billy's hands are. Billy Gibbons is my guitar "Hero", but I can't copy his style, I have tried.
Cool fun lesson, thanks from New Zealand

Hey Kupa - thanks for your feedback. :-)
ZZ Top play this a hundred ways [and some of them are awful]. This lesson is, as always, just great, and it's such a fun version. There's no better teacher on KZread. Full stop. Vielen danke, Hanspeter!

Great lesson HP! For lessons in which you are teaching us a song, do you learn it by ear yourself or do you base it off of sheet music? Just curious since I know you are a trained musician.

Hey JJ - I always learn songs by ear. I don't like sheetmusic too much. :D
Can anyone tell me why the original player hold the guitar over the top?
Absolutely great lesson and a few simple ideas for soloing. I'm not really understanding all the criticism, no one ever plays things absolutely true to the original and that is one of the great things about playing in and watching bands. I really enjoy watching people's interpretation of a song. In our own band when the punters are up and dancing and what you're playing is at least musically correct and close enough who actually cares?
soooo goooooood !!!!
What guitar pedals are you using for this song?

Sorry I dont remember exactly... but in general an AXE FX II Processor.
I have one question for you because you are Swiss. When your country has a referendum does the result get implemented immediately or does it have to before Parliament where they might overturn the result. I'm having great fun playing this one . Thanks

Hey Bill, yes you are right we have a referendum were people if they gather enough sigitures can force the parlament to work over a specific law. ... and cool you like that one here. :-)

For all of the people who want to learn play this riff in correct way, one big important rule: use your thumb as Billy Gibbons doing.
Good video... More or less.
Hey HP...You should add a "DONATE" button to your KZread channel. I know it takes time to put these videos together and I find them help and would like to make a donation. I follow another teacher who's channel is "Shutupandplay." He has a "Donate" button. Just a suggestion. All the best to you and your KZread channel.

IKR, Is there a lead slide tutorial for this song anywhere on KZread?
You really don't know how to pronounce "Tush"? It's in the song! 🤣
Is this a video of how not to play Tush? What an insult to the original...
i think maybe you should know how to play the song correctly before you try and teach it?? definetly NOT the way B. Gibbons plays it
