@JonathanTReviews I also want to thank you for introducing me to Henry Archer with your fantastic reviews. Definitely my next purchase. Although I am completely torn between the Akva Galileo and Nordso DLC Cosmic Purple meteorite. They are both VERY appealing. I have really come to appreciate the unique and unconventional designs of the microbrand world. Thanks again!

@stephanrosos4957 You can't go wrong with either! Henry Archer has become one of my favorite brands and both models have their unique appeal. If I HAD to choose one, I'd personally lean towards the Akva. The proportions and layout are spot on. Cheers
Thanks for the great review, detailed and covered a lot - I have been eyeing this piece up for a while. I think I'll grab one this year 🙂👍

My pleasure! Thanks for the support! I think you'll love it. You get a lot for your money and that dial is gorgeous. Cheers
Absolutely beautiful watch. Maybe the best microbrand watch that came out last year.

It's definitely high on the list for me too! Cheers
Loved seeing these when they first released…I’m surprised they’re not sold out! The curved Shellback signature with the engineering of the hour hand porthole is my favorite. This jet black dial looks great with the white contrasting features too. Great piece!

Absolutely! I think they did sell out but were restocked at least once. I'm very partial to the black as well. Cheers
Good review! I ordered the SBV2 in black. The black and white version looks great!

The blue is gorgeous as well! I went back and forth but couldn't pass up getting eyes on the enamel. Cheers
I have the no-date version and absolutely love it...fits/wears fantastic...very comfortable/flexible braclet...great with jeans and semi dress....great overall watch! I'll be looking for a date version now...

Absolutely, they both look great! I do highly recommend the date version though. The framing is too cool. Cheers
What a stunner!

Right?!?! It's hard not to fall in love with that dial, with the rest of the package being very solid as well. Cheers

And I agree with your thoughts it’s a brilliant black watch!
My brother just got the blue dial variant. I gotta say they got the dial and dimensions absolutely spot on. The blue dial can look anywhere from black to navy, to royal blue depending on lighting. Not a lot of blue dials do that, and I gotta say I really enjoy just twisting the watch to play with the colours. As for dimensions, the watch wears absolutely perfect on my 6.3 inch wrist. A lot of thought went into getting the size right I presume. However, I would say I’m not a fan of the bracelet. Looks good, but the quality is alright. It’s probably worth what you pay for them ($650) and no more. It just won’t blow anyone away and the finishing is just okay. I compared it to my PRX and that one has much better and finer brushing. Also, the clasp on this is ridiculously thick and would probably even deter me from wearing it on the bracelet. Overall, a decent watch but I’m glad my brother got it instead of me 😄 He doesn’t mind any of the things I don’t like about the watch so I guess that’s the most important thing - that he’s happy with it!

I was torn between the two variants because of the cool color shift the blue exhibits, but couldn't pass up that black enamel (no regrets). It would be nice to see further bracelet refinements on future iterations, particularly the clasp, but I was pleased with it as part of the whole package. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Cheers
I'd like to be honest here, given the specs and material quality, many brands offer such watch for around 1000 usd. 650 usd is not a big bargain for Shellback, still many brands do not have better lume and yet they use aluminium bezels for around 1000, Tusenö used ceramic and lumed bezel markers. Ronda mecano r150 is an accurate movement so far, better than many movements out there. For over 3 months it was good for me.

@@JonathanTReviews I am very glad you enjoy it. I care lot about timekeeping, i am somehow obsessed. R150 destroyed a couple of my Sellitas(elaboré grade), 6r15, and 9015s. Ronda should launch a movement at top/chronometer grade.
It's a well made and well thought out watch, at least most parts of it. I also get the trick with the hour hand where the aperture displays the "Shellback" writing while crossing over it. But the hour hand itself with this bagle in it ends up being kind of ugly in my eyes and I can't unsee it sadly.

Thanks for the thoughts buddy. This one doesn't bother me, but I know how you feel as I've always disliked the Mercedes hand. That dial is what really makes this watch though. Cheers
Not a fan of the hands but besides that not a bad watch at all.

I have one (and love it!), and one of things that I appreciate (of many) on this watch is the hands. They are beveled, and I prefer beveled hands.
It would have been much better to set the watch standstill for a while. The common mistake of watch reviewers never giving enough time for viewers to look.

Thanks for your feedback. I do my best to show it from all angles and include around 1 minute of stationary dial close-ups from different positions right after I show the other colors. That's followed by a minute of slowly moving outdoor dial footage. Was there something in particular you wanted to see so I can try to address? Cheers
