@@thepirate4095 Nah, I enjoy basically all forms of WoW except for Cata Classic. I'm here because I think Turtle WoW (and other modded servers, like Ascension) have some really cool ideas. I've been loosely following the project for a while now.

only shows up 60hz screen resolution, also my client turns black and if i change from windowed to fullscreen, this issue makes it so i have to reinstall it... Already tried restarting computer.

Everything worked for me, the old video and the new one, but I had a small problem. I use a double screen and when I switch from one to the other with Click, the wow gives a small blink. You always know what it could be?

Anyone know how to make the Discord overlay work with turtle wow? Discord wont recognize the game when I try to register it

Nice video for new players, but any reason you changed your last video to “outdated”? All the info is still relevant and vanillafixes, vanillatweaks, audio fixes, and even nampower are all very relevant changes that really help with the outdated 1.12 client. I thought maybe this video would cover all the old info as well as maybe some new info, but it didn’t go over the other info at all.

I'm making this video focused on just getting setup and ready to start playing for new players. I'm making more videos about the client fixes/tweaks and addons soon. A lot of new players were confused by my previous video thinking they had to install VanillaFixes, vanilla-tweaks, and nampower to play the game.

for your information the servers are originally from EU meaning there are no US servers, that's why he keeps saying EU servers. You can consider it the NA/EU server, the other ones are for Asia exclusively. EDIT: Yes, you can play in the US with no issues and relatively no lag.

Only showing up to 1600x1200, try to restart but nothing new. No second monitor connected.. what can I do? Thanks in advance

This happened to me too, the fix (for me at least) was just installing any updates windows had, and it was fixed from there on out.

I got a problem with the resolution, it only works on 1600x1200 and my monitor res is 2560x1440. It only works if i disable and enable the graphics driver from device manager. I must do it at every restart so is frustating..

Sometimes the game only shows resolutions for a second monitor you have connected. The simplest solution is to just pick any resolution that's 16:9 like your monitor. No matter what, the game is always displaying at whatever resolution is set in Windows, so as long as the ratio is the same, nothing will be stretched.

I also experience a blackscreen issue for 3 seconds when using windowed mode + maximize since the latest update, it's caused by vanillafixes tho, but i don't want to remove it, cause it fixes so many issues

Yep it's annoying accidentally clicking "Windowed" in the video options then having to edit the config file. Did you get it working again?

For the VanillaFixes issue, you can edit the dxvk.conf file to fix the blackscreen when alt-tabbing, add this line: d3d9.enableDialogMode = True If that doesn't work, just delete the dxvk.conf file and it will still work with only a slight performance loss.

Nice video But I have a problem with it. Everytime Im trying to play randomly between 5 - 90 minutes my pc crashes andI get a grayish screen and then my pc reboots. It only happens with WoW I don't have that problem with any other game its just WoW but WoW in general it happens on every client (Vanilla, WOTLK, MOP) Does someone experienced the same issue and/or fixed this?

I want to play but their website client download keeps getting me this -Failed - network error- every time i get to 7.4 gb of download. Tried it like 5 time already, even with my antivirus turned off, same problem every time, just does not work. Any alternative download that works?

Any ideas on why there isnt a WoW.exe or WoWFoV.exe showing up in the extracted folder, but everything else? It's in the zip folder, but doesnt seem to want to extract?

It seems some people have been having issues with antivirus programs falsely flagging the exe files. Windows defender doesn't seem to have an issue with them, try disabling any third-party antivirus.

Its normal to select a refresh rate like 144 and when clickin it okay and open the video options again its says 60hz?

Yes, it should be displaying at 144hz even if it says 60hz in the video options. Make sure Vsync is enabled and hit Ctrl+R to see your in game FPS to verify.

Weird. My account is good, and I can log into the website/forum. But when I try to login to the client, it tells me my information is Invalid. WTF?

It could be issues with your ISP connecting to the client, try resetting your internet modem. If that doesn't work, ask on the support channel on the discord and they can help.

Would it be possible for you to develop a client for Mac and make it available for download. I think that otherwise not many people are willing to buy a program like Parallels for 100 euros a year to play.

If yours is an Intel Mac, you can play with Wine which is free. If it's Apple Silicon it needs to be ran with a virtual machine (VM). Parallels is suggested because it works the best, but other VM programs may work as well.

Hey man, I'm having trouble with addon on Turtle wow. I follow instructions : dowload, extract, rename but none of them are implementing into the game. Any tips on a small thing i seem to don't see ? ty man :)

One common issue is that extra folders can become nested. Make sure the structure looks like this (using pfQuest as an example): Interface\AddOns\pfQuest\ *in here should be all the addon files, including pfQuest.toc*

There is an HD texture mod you can find on the forum or discord. If your game looks worse than it does in my video here though, it may be settings related. Make sure Windowed mode is enabled, and it's also safest to get a fresh client from the website.

The list of resolutions showing up can be affected by having multiple monitors, if you have more than one monitor try unplugging all secondary monitor cables from your GPU then restarting your computer. If that's not the issue, you can try adding a custom resolution via your Nvidia/AMD driver software and that may make it show up as an option.

@@ericschn Unfortunately I will not be able to immerse myself in your project, to run on my old Mac, had to install two utilities, one of which is not compatible with my software, the latest available version of macOS 12.7, and the utility needs 14++. I will have to keep playing wov classic on the official server 😩 😩

They're still fine, I wanted to keep the new setup video simple and without addons or mods, since a lot of new players thought they were required to play the game. I'm making new addons and mods guides in the future, the older guide can still work until then.

You've probably already fixed it by now but nonetheless, here's the fix. 1. Go to the Turtle WoW Wiki page and click on "Client Fixes and Tweaks" under _Quick links_. 2. Next, scroll down to the "Vanilla-Tweaks" section and follow the instructions. _That should fix the auto loot problem._ As for your other questions. I think these addons should help: - pfQuest - pfQuest-Turtle - LazyPig (_Yeah, that's the name of the addon lol_) Hope this helps.

The game with no addons or mods should run on pretty much any Windows computer from the last 15 years, you can try asking in the official discord with more details.
