That awesome that the High Elves are on the Alliance, too bad the Horde didn't get Ogres on there side

2 or so years ago, seeing 300 concurrent players was pretty decent. Now there's like 6k online. Mostly friendly players, HC is fun but so is normal. Options for PvP warmode or slower leveling as well. The Survival skills ability to create tents is genius. It truly leads to people gathering up, chatting and hanging out. 15 mins and you can max out rested exp while talking to nice people.

trying wow for the first time and this server feels perfect and alive everwhere i go as a starter.

I don't think anyone cares about private servers being a taboo anymore because well retail and classic has become a GDKP festival with Blizzard Sanctioned RMT. WoW token. It's great. What's the difference between retail and a private server where you can buy gold? Nothing. One is Free to Play. The other is BUY TO PLAY. SUB TO PLAY. PLAY TO LOSE. PAY TO WIN.

Thank goodness for these servers. Classic Wow should be free to play now, and yet Bliz still wants $14.99 a month just to play classic.

Its a HD pack

Tried to download 5 times, the 7.6 gig file was always corrupt

I did a mage here lvl 1 and level it to 2. what I felt was that the mana regen is faster. if i waited a few seconds, my mana would swoosh up to full almost instantly. also, it felt like my speed is faster. are these tweaks that have actually been made or am i nuts ?

At lvl 1 until 5 or 6 is has always been very fast to recover HP or mana. You should try to go past lvl 2!

the day turtle wow will introduce 4 new classes ( that i got in mind and ideas for) and random, weekly, monthly pvp/pve encounters and events, it will be the Best server of all time. period! I love turtle wow. Deeply.

smokeys lighter i think was already in the game, but keep up the good work!

i lvled a hunter to 60 and pvped a bit but i stopped playing there bc no world pvp was a big turn off, but i loved my time when i was playing, lvling overall was really fun, with tents and warmode it went quick and there was always ppl everywhere

which class/race/spec/prof do you suggest for first character?

Paladin/Hunter/Warlock, then you can babysit other classes with your main, like warriors, rogues etc. on a second account, to farm dungeons or to do hard quests.

I still cant decide what class to play. Does anyone know are druids any good after changes to talents and spells apart from healing?

Feral was good enough to play even without changes, like middle of the pack. And atleast 4 other people in your raid loved you. After the changes feral is just better in dps, so a yes for dps feral. Tank whise its still not on the level with a warrior BUT they announced t sets changes for specs like that, this will probably fix that aswell. Boomkin is, well better, but still the weakest of the bunch. You still have Mana problems and cant use your dots, so your dps is still to low.

Is this a progressive server? Will they add tbc and wotlk or they add their own content?

If you can't find the sign up and download button try a different browser. My Mozilla refused to load the full page.

Private servers tend to keep the BOT population down if not totally gone. they don't have the motive of money from subscriptiuons like Blizzard does

Leveling is the game in classic. With survival its more like 2x since you can always be rested

1x + 50% from rested + 30% from warmode + ms bonus from a slower scaling with your lvl mount + new zones for more quests. It works out to about 2x.

Servers have been running for 5 years now. No one knows much about the server owner. It got shut down a few years ago, and was rehosted a few months later with everyone's characters still there.

It's mostly due to where it is based from the original vanilla code from the beginning. It's a pain in the ass. I agree. There is one addon that helps you keep the others updated, But you have to manually add each one in that addon. But most of the ones you probably always used, Should work in Turtle WOW. It perhaps might be under a different name tho.

It's an inconvenience until you get used to it. The basic addons that you really need do exist. I was also very hesitant at first for the same reason but the game is sooo superior to official we just don't care.

Turtle WOW is great until you say the wrong thing. I remember casually calling another player Russian, because they have a Russian name and speak Russian. That is I guess racist and that got me a day ban which made me miss a raid for my guild, which made me quit the server.
