Coonie, thank you for showing the Big difference from New Orleans and Real Cajun. We cook so much better. I don't make turtle sauce piquant, but I make a chicken and sausage . I make mine a little different, less tomatoes and add yellow prepared mustard. That's how my mama always made it. Try it or let me know and I'll show y'all . But please try it is great!! Thank you so much for depicting us in a true light. Did I mention I live in the prairie Cajun capital and home of the crawfish ettoufee cook off. I'm a super proud born and raised Cajun !! Thanks again Coonie. You cook like us.

Lisa Fontenot Both New Orleans and Acadiana has good food, it’s not a one is better than the other, they just have different styles but both are good and both have damn good cooks and damn good food. New Orleans never claims to be Cajun, New Orleanians are of creole culture and heritage (both the whites and blacks). In fact, your surname is creole...look it up....Fontenot was in Louisiana before the arrival of Acadians to Louisiana... www.acadianmemorial.org/ensemble_encore2/cajunrootsc.htm
